I think there was a typo in your Free Agents section
There is a player named D. Avery WR that you wanted to add to the team. I figured that had to be a mistake…
hey man i like avery
i think if he came back here he would be fine , he played good his first 2 seasons with bad QBs. he played great in Preseason and we cut him for no damn reason but becuase spags is a moron who picks his friends (gibson, bajema) instead of talent
Rams Bulls and Mets allllllllll day also i do love white castle
Who picked Avery up after we cut him?
by jmo53 on Feb 13, 2012 8:27 PM CST via Android app up reply actions
The Titans picked him up
And Avery posted a blistering 15 yard average per reception for the season. Granted, he only caught 3 passess for 45 yards on the year but hey, one of them was a touchdown!
yeh all in one game
his last game which shows he was trying to learn the system and just couldnt get it down till later in the season. i know ppl just look over him but that guy can ball and he did while he was here but ppl have short memories
Rams Bulls and Mets allllllllll day also i do love white castle
In all honesty, this would be great but probably a little overly optimistic
Way too many FAs brought in. I don’t think we’d have the cap room for all those additions. Also,I don’t think Brandon Thompson will fall to the 4th round.
I think Brockers will make a wonderful 3-4 DE still need a NT to complete the transformation
May I suggest Poe instead of Miller since we have a perfectly good RB. And who’s gonna step into LT? Because Saffold is great at RT, and Bell won’t last very long once he’s injured were up shit creek again. You lose your LT your QBs next.
Wolf. Wolfgang Wolf
yeh its not perfect
but its hard to make this team perfect lol but yeh i would gamble on bell and i think collins would be a good backup if anything happend.but i would put poe instead of miller , the miller pick to me was just because we need to draft a rb of the future soon but we could leave it up to the next draft
Rams Bulls and Mets allllllllll day also i do love white castle
Oh yeah we won't fix it all in even 2 off seasons unless we hit on draft picks and FAs the way good teams do.
Wolf. Wolfgang Wolf
Your list is very nice, (cept Avery) but...Way too Expensive
I think at this time of year we need to look at who we would like to cut.
In 2011 we were 675,000 over the cap which we need to make up in the future.
We need 5-7m to have available for our 2012 draft class.
I say cut these players:
J. Smith 8.5m
J. Brown 4.0m
R., Bartell 6.0 m(no way to know if he will ever play again)
J. Bell 6.0m
F. Robbins 3.5m
J. Hall 3.4m
AJ. Feeley 3.2m

i like avery alot
and as a third or 4th wr i love him. yeh i knew this was alittle too expensive but i thought if we cut enough guys we could make most of it work
Rams Bulls and Mets allllllllll day also i do love white castle
Hey I'm with you on Avery
his ONLY problem was that he was drafted too early. I guess his injuries didn’t help but that problem was team-wide

fearsomefoursome
Where did you go to find these numbers? I’ve been trying to find how much each player would save us if cut.
by jmo53 on Feb 13, 2012 8:30 PM CST via Android app up reply actions
I searched yahoo under "2012 st louis rams salary'
got foxsports and sportscity.com. niether full list. but enough to see who is taking a lions share. Bradfords base, was under 500,000 but got 22+ million from roster spot on March 13th 2011 just like Payton Mannings due 28 million this year. They are basically 2011 numbers. I’m thinking Bradford only getting 10 or 12 million this year thats why people are stating we have 10 million cap room. Another site to check is
blogs.sun-sentinel.com search 2012 nfl salary cap
after reading this I see we all may be putting the cart in front of the horse by talking about all these FAs to be signed. We need to cut baby. CUT BIG. As you may see, Cincinnati is in prime cap position to go after a wes welker or anyone they want. If DeSean Jax agent wants 5 years 50 million, Welker gets that if not more. I know TN has recently signed 3 FA. They were second to Cinc. in cap space. So checks are being cut by teams that can make big moves. Other teams must make smart moves that are around 12-5 mill under the cap and teams like the Rams MUST CUT. and BIG just to sign a Garcon. Devaney did us no favors. We like to talk about players moving, so I say we should Look at Pitt, 30 million over cap. Oak. 19mil over….Carolina 6 mill over. here you may find some deals. But if I recall, cuts don’t happen until Combine week(kind of a distraction the FO uses while we are all glued to ESPN). As we watch players at the combine, teams will start cutting and signing players, and tipping their hands as to where they plan to spend what ever cash they have left.
A good example to watch is NE. They have 22 million under the cap. But A. must resign Welker 10 Mill at least. B. Have huge C problem to address with Connolly or Koppen or both…C. Two DE that signed one year FA deals, (YES RAMS NATION, ONE YEAR DEALS) and each had 10 sacks each. half of NE 40 sacks came from these two guys….what ya going to do??? Bill Billapuke Taping Video cheatmaster (not that I"m bitter) and D. they got Green-Ellis UFA …now RB in NE has been somewhat of a revolving door. But based on the fact this guy has never fumbled in 4 years, you gots to give him a contract. So The Real 3-4 million question is………..is there any left for Lloyd…..I hope not, cause what I’ve learned today about lloyd, I want him back as a Ram. We can’t afford no VJax, DeSJax, STJohnson, Colston any of those Grade A guys. Not even Mario or Reggie….Don’t got the Jack! MUST DRAFT BLACKMON!!!!
RAMS RULE!

Thanks for the info and good write up.
I too am pulling for Lloyd but would prefer another WR via FA also instead of Blackmon(unless at #4 or #6). Looks like that could be tough with the cap but I’d take the WR over Finnegan or any other FA. Grab Kalil or if we trade down then pick Blackmon#4 or Reiff#6.

It seems an Accountant with Voodoo skills is needed to truly know what is what
I’m just sitting on the dock of the 19th tee box waiting for some FA action. Its like a JR. High School dance. Who will be the first to cut a major player, who will be first to sign a huge contract leaving the team with no mo money to dance the rest of the dance. Did you know London Fletcher and Antonio Gates went undrafted….I think that’s where some scouts should be hanging out….both played college basketball…….wow……amazing….And lets face it, Gates is Hall of Fame material and Fletcher just got burned on a Pro Bowl…. a starting middle linebacker that hasn’t missed a game since 2000…..COME ON MAN!!!! but HE still may make Hall if he keeps his total tackles up per year. He is Crazy Bad A$$! How did he get away from us so soon……

I don't rightly know
I’d say this list like many others , is incomplete. Bell doesn’t appear on the ave. salary or the base salary lists either. Brown and Smith both appear on the other 2 lists. I don’t know how the hell anyone expects us to be good armchair GMs unless they give us complete and factual info here on the worldwidewebs
Wolf. Wolfgang Wolf
I thinki its the Agents
Agents don’t want this info transparent. But with the Franchise tag, the league has to know what everyone is making. Hell, for the cap! It secret, secret now, but one day soon it will be available to all. Its just like the female actresses don’t like their birthdays splashed on IMDP. Gets their panties in a bunch.

Avery? Really?
His 2011 Titans contribution:
In 8 game, he started “0” times, caught 3 passes for 45 yards and 1 TD

yeh he was learning a new system
and instead of looking at that , which i admit isnt a good sign for him , look at his first 2 years not great but really well considering what the qbs were and on par with past great wrs in their first 2 years then year 3 he gets hurt and in year 4 he has a great preseason is cut for horrible players like gibson pettis msw and then has a hard time on a new team but lets just look at what he does this year.
Rams Bulls and Mets allllllllll day also i do love white castle
Don't get me wrong. I wish nothing but the best for him. I hope he turns it all around in a very Laurent Robinson way
I just think the best thing he could do for himself was to move on from the Rams. He got off to a nice start here, but then it fizzled. he needs a fresh start, and I hope next season the Titans find a way to give him a chance.

O-line looks the same as it ever was!
I’m not seeing any O-line upgrade that sends chills down my spine. If Brockers or Fletcher Cox are available with our second round pick, I’m good with that. I think we could pick up a nice OLB like Ronnel Lewis with our second pick in the 2nd. My 1.4 is Blackmon and 1.22 is Mike Davis. I like Z. Brown with our 2.1, but like I said Brockers or Cox at that spot is as valuable and Lewis is the next best OLB and a good value at 2.4. I’d be comfortable with either of those scenarios. In FA, Donnie Avery? Really?! I don’t hate him as a player, only as a first rounder.
on donnie avery g-unit rams
he can’t stay healthy while in a rams uniform. but like your draft and some of the free agents that i would go with if i were the rams.
thanks man
but he was fairly healthy his first 2 years but i give up no one will agree with me on Avery lol
