Letter to Editor- A real slap in the face

I want to make myself perfectly clear, this is an observation on my part and strictly my own opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As I have been a Rams fan a very long time, the ups and the more often downs of this team have me taken it all with a grain of salt and just move slowly on hoping to be a winning team again. At first, finding this site full of incite and perspective was to me and other fans here, who have had little to fill their little empty Ram's heart full of hope. In the short time I have been on here, there has been a large, ever growing group of writers. With that as I guess as in everything in life, most of the regulars here, have belittled others for their views. While seemingly all for fun, those who do that forget that this is a forum to express what YOUR OPINIONS ARE!
Is this what happens on other sites like this? We have all been wrong with our guesses here. Let me say it again, everyone who opens this site is guilty. Let those who express their views in a manner out of norm, feel as you who happily agree with someone else views. Didn't your parents tell you growing up if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything. Is this statement so outdated now?!
This medium is no long that. Some of the TST writers have gone beyond thanking those who post here.
To any that read this far, there are other Fan sites out there. While the presentation on this site is the best, alienation of some here has me no longer interested.

I can see his point and some of the regulars on the site are out of control at times.

If it’s me because of the posts from some Fanposters I have been front paging lately, it’s because I asked them to write the pieces and they are pretty damn good writers.
So are many others people here, and I plan to ask many of you if you’d like a writing assignment or two. It’s fun to write about a team you love – at least it is for me.

I’ve only been here on this blog a few weeks. Rams fan since 68. In my blood. no matter where they play, I can’t get them out of my soul. Sure, I pissed some bloggers off, I made a few friends too. But what I think is the most important part of this blog, is that there are many, and let me say that again, MANY, Rams fans here who are so pumped up now that we got Fisher, and that Devaney the idiot is gone. We battle back and forth on WR or OT or Trade on our first pick. Its truly fantastic enthusiasm that I read on this blog. Sure your gonna get some guys that are pushed the wrong way, some act out cause they can’t handle three beers. Some are just plain, well…..you know. But with all great blogs, come some not so great retorts. I myself love this blog and can handle all shit that comes from what I say in print. Joe said it best. To hold a pen is to be at war. So!? So what! Combine starts in 12 days, UFA signings in almost a month. hang in there. Its just a blog. Its nothing to get your panties all tied up in a tilted kilt knot! RAMS RULE!!!!

Adults like to argue, ask my wife and she will tell you that I think I’m always right. I think most people think they are right when it comes to opinions and will defend them to the death.
To me this site would be borring as hell without some controversy as long as it doesn’t get out of hand. When it does they get booted (See Ramchop). You have to be able to take some crap from people when they don’t like what you are saying. It just goes with the territory.
We All Disagree
I think that is the point: To challenge opinions, genuinely weigh them against your own, and hopefully learn something from the other person’s point of view. I like this forum b/c the fans here will point out directly the problems that they see in your argument: I have personal experience with this! LMAO!
im always open for debate...
when i post something. i just cant stand when some take it to another level, get personal, and start attacking, namecalling, and everything…thats where i draw the line. but in hindsight, i respect everyone here, and there opinions. theres some damn good writer here, and posters as well.

Sure we fight we don’t all agree on thangs but at the end of the day we all are rams fans and we all want what’s best and most of all we all just wana win lol but this wouldn’t be the Greatest site on earth gsoe. If it wasn’t for all that this is by far the funniest football site ever. You’ll laff. And I guess from reading this CRY…wink wink lol ul pick a side. But you always enjoy with fellow fans and I wouldn’t have my TST eney other way

I'm fairly new at expressing my opinions in this type of forum,
but for the most part I have found most of the discussions / arguments to be respectful. There will always be one or two assholes who think they are being cute or slick, but thats true anywhere. In the debate between O-line and WR with the first pick, I have seen great arguments on both sides, and have been in a discussion or two myself. The nice thing about a computer though is that if someone starts being an ass, I can leave the conversation and come back another day on another subject. No excuse needed, no explanation, I just click and leave. Problem solved.

I strongly advise anyone who sees a post they deem innapropriate
to flag it. It isn’t instantly visible to us, but I do look every week or so and try and clean things up.
I see both sides
of most of the posts. When I don’t agree, I just say it. IMO I have seen more honest debate on this site than most. The editors do a good job of keeping the strings related to Pro football, if not the Rams specifically. I hate the occasional strings of conversation that end up with people trading insults about which American Idol sucks the most, etc. So, don’t be such a softy. After all, it’s just all of us ignorant fans blissfully posting our own little world views of Ram football.
