State of the Rams Address

After today's game, our Rams are 5-6-1 on the season. Let's take a look at the team by coaching and position. It comes as follows:

COACHING: You can obviously see that the Rams have finally become a TEAM. Coach Jeff Fisher and his coaches have done great with this team with a lot of young talent. Not to mention, the defense-by-committee coaching job they have had to deal with. Can't wait to see how good our defense is when Gregg Williams returns.

QUARTERBACK: Sam, under great coaching, is finally coming into his own as a quarterback. He's leading the team and is becoming the franchise quarterback he was meant to be.

RUNNING BACK: Steven Jackson is playing like his old self finally and Daryl Richardson is the change-of-pace back we hoped he would be. They are becoming quite the duo and they are extremely tough.

WIDE RECEIVER: It's not the best position on the roster, but with Danny Amendola and Chris Givens becoming a tandem, things are looking bright at the position. Hopefully, Brian Quick can start making more of an impact in the games to come.

TIGHT END: Lance Kendricks is a beast. He has the chance to become an elite tight end in this league and is showing flashes of it every game.

OFFENSIVE LINE: For the personnel on the field, they are performing very well. They aren't great, but the return of Rodger Saffold and Scott Wells helps drastically.

DEFENSIVE LINE: The Rams may have the best front four in the league. Robert Quinn, Chris Long, Michael Brockers, Kendall Langford, and William Hayes are all beasts and playing like it now.

LINEBACKERS: The addition of Jo-Lonn Dunbar playing the weak-side next to James Laurinaitis has been great to watch. The strong side is still weak, hopefully Sammy Brown can step in and play well enough.

CORNERBACK: Courtland Finnegan, Janoris Jenkins, and Trumaine Johnson are all great players. This position is the most set (other than D-Line) on the team.

SAFETY: A weak spot for the team, play needs to be upgraded here. But, they have done considerable better the past two games.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Greg "The Leg" Zuerlein and Johnny Hekker are a great rookie duo and look to be set in stone for years. The return game is iffy. But with Chris Givens returning kicks, something is bound to happen. I'd like to see Janoris Jenkins return punts.
