I feel like, since both teams won their previous game, everyone should be feeling good, so why not start up a week long Thread with playoff implications, leading up to our matchup?
What you should know:
The Vikings are 1-5 on the road this year.
The Vikings QB situation isn't consistent so, I really can't speculate on what type of performance to expect. Usually the road performances aren't that good. Terrible, actually.
The Vikings have Adrian Peterson. Of course you know this already. This is who your whole defense must focus on. If not, it's going to be a long day in St. Louis for Rams fans.
Cover Kyle Rudolph. When Kyle the "Reindeer TD Tight-End" Rudolph is forgot about, usually defenses pay. If Ponder doesn't look anywhere else, it's almost a guarantee Rudolph is the target. Rudolph has his fair share of Touchdowns and amazing catches so far this year.
The Vikings are 2-1 against teams in your division.
On the flip side
The Rams have Steven Jackson. The Vikings run defense up the middle is suspect at best. We have a middle of the pack secondary, but I'd suggest that Sam Bradford not throw Harrison Smith's way. He has 3 ints so far, and 2 to the house, as a rookie. He also can lay the wood on wide receivers. I'd throw A.J. Jefferson's way instead, IF he's playing. You should know A.J. Jefferson. We traded for the guy in the offseason from your division rival Cardinals.
The Vikings OC calls a Conservative game when he feels the QB can't handle the pressure. So, if you get to the QB, your chances of winning will dramatically increase.
Although the Vikings are 2-1 against the NFC West, both of those wins came at our house, and the sole loss was on the road.
My final prediction if the Vikings can pull it off on a big road game:
Rams: 17
Vikings: 21
If not:
Rams: 24
Vikings: 13
