Did the Rams make a mistake cutting Alexander earlier this season?

Iv'e noticed that Danario Alexander has had two big games in the past few weeks, and after the poor performance from our Rams this Sunday am beginning to think this move may have already bitten us in the butts. I posted below some of his stats since he's been in San Diego and was wondering what some of your thoughts might be? Is it possible he's just been having a lucky past few weeks, or do you think he's the real deal again?

(Week 8 vs Cleveland "first week on San Diego roster")

D. Alexander 0 0 0.0 0 0 1

San Diego Receiving (Week 9 vs Kansas City)
REC YDS AVG TD LG TGTS
D. Alexander 3 61 20.3 0 30 3

San Diego Receiving (Week 10 vs Tampa Bay)
REC YDS AVG TD LG TGTS
D. Alexander 5 134 26.8 1 80 7

(Week 11 vs Denver)

SD REC YDS AVG TD LG TGTS

- If you haven't already seen the video of his second touchdown on ESPN then look it up. YEA! he still has freakish athleticism.
