With Mike Dietrich dealing with Hurricane Sandy's aftermath, he chose me - his Fantasy Football Guru in training - to fill in for him. OK, he didn't actually choose me in the strictest sense of the word... It was more like he told me he'd be unavailable, and I didn't tell Ryan. He would have brought in some guy like David Fucillo or Kenny Stein to guest post, and who needs them right? In fact, Kenny told me my FF advice has kept him from making some serious mistakes by avoiding the players I recommend... Hey! Wait a minute...
Today I'm going to highlight some of the trending players. If you look at the chart below provide by Yahoo Sports, you'll see Greg "The Leg" Zuerlein is no longer a fantasy football darling. He's been dropped by a whopping 139,449 teams this week. Must be because of all the touchdowns the Rams are about to score? Hmm?
Titus Young has emerged as this week's Ogletree at the wide receiver position. With the problems Calvin Johnson seems to be having, I'm throwing anything I have around the house away that has to do with Transformers toys. It may even shorten my bath time too, now that I think about it? Young was Detroit Lion's quarterback Matt Stafford's favorite target last week, and they have a great match up this week in Jacksonville.
Miami's defense is hot right now, with 107,894 teams diving in to play the Dolphins against Andrew Luck and the Colts this week in Indianapolis. Denver's defense has picked up steam too with a marginal match up in Cincinnati.
The thing I find most interesting is that four of the top ten moves made this week are kickers. Zuerlein's drop has a lot to do with the Rams having a bye week, and the fact very few team except Rampage's carry more than one kicker. He's currently suing Yahoo because they won't let him start ALL kickers... I hope that one is on Court TV!
