St. Louis Rams center Scott Wells is getting closer to a return this season. Wells updated the world on his status Thursday evening on Twitter, telling followers that he expects to return in Week 10 for a game against the 49ers.

One step closer to a return to the field. Finally out of the walking boot!— Scott Wells (@63Wells8) October 18, 2012
Wells is out with a broken foot, an injury he suffered in Week 1 against the Lions. The Rams used the new injured reserve rule that allows teams to designate one player for return during the season.
The question for Jeff Fisher is how he handles his Wells' return. Backup center Robert Turner has done an excellent job filling in for Wells. Turner has allowed just one hurry, no sacks and no hits on the quarterback. That's pretty impressive.
I would assume that Wells steps back into the mix, after all, the Rams gave him a $24 million free agent deal. Turner could slide over to left guard. Either way, the Rams have some things to think about when Week 10 rolls around.
