While it sucks that the team lost a close one to a team that they should have obliterated. I am actually pleased with alot of things.
I thought the Dolphins were going to control this game and come out winning handily. The Dolphins looked like they were putting things together and they were at home. With the absence of Amendola I was sure the offense was going to struggle getting first downs.
The Rams had 12 penalties for 94 yards and a turnover and yet found themselves in the game somehow.
Here is the stat line in this loss which is very encouraging for this team.
Bradford 26/39 315yds (66%) and a rushing TD. He also picked up some key yardage with 4 rushes for 34yds.
DRich 11 for 76 with another explosive 44 yard run. There is alot to like about this guy!
Jackson 12 for 52
Sam connected with 10 different receivers in this game. Tops was Brandon Gibson of all people with 7 for 91 yards and some monster catches and a 4th down reception to give the Rams a chance to win the game.
Givens continued where he left off as the Rams deep threat with a 65 yard reception.
Lance Kendricks is starting to produce a little in the passing game as he picked up 4 for 40.
This team just has to figure out what it wants to do down in the Redzone. If you want to run it, run it. If you dont, then pass it, but get rid of it quickly.
But the big key is figuring out where the blitz is coming from once the Rams offense crosses midfield. The Rams just keep getting blindsided by that like..."ohhhh holy shit did you see that!" "They disguised that blitz!" "Didnt see that coming, so unfair."
...and Ojinnaka...buddy, how about just bringing your hand down and grabbing the shoulder pad when your obviously holding and save the team the extra 5 yards on a facemask penalty!
Dannys absence in the lineup has impacted the team the most in special teams. Its obvious now that the little man makes up for some bad blocking up field.
And of course the Penalties....the rams have been borderline sloppy in this area all season, they definitely need to address this in a big way now.
