Random Ramsdom 1/4: More talk about HC and GM openings!
Hey everybody! Right now the Rams are in heavy work trying to find the right people for HC and GM to finally get this team back to being competitive in the league. It's a very important time in this franchise's history so let's get to the links.
GM or HC more important for the Rams?
The weekly roundtable at stltoday.com takes a look at that question. In my mind, both are equal and for the most part, the post agrees.
Here's a profile from the mother site, sbnation.com, about a possible target for the Rams in the draft, Matt Kalil.
Here is Steve Spagnuolo's farewell statement. To say he is a classy guy is an understatement.
The opponents are the divisional games, the NFC North, the AFC East, the Bucs and the Redskins.
Jim Thomas gave some candidates for GM and explained what the Rams are looking for in a GM. Highly recommend you read this.
That's all for today. Have a good one and GO RAMS!

NFC central games wrong
Face the bears and lions at home and packers and Vikings on the road. Other games are correct.

Yes NFC North
as there is no NFC Central anymore. I was stating that we hosted the Vikings and Packers 3 years ago and played at the Bears & Lions 3 years ago and it should be the opposite this year instead of a repeat. My ticket rep had said the home schedule containted the Bears and Lions and then this came out. I believe it has to do with a change about playing the NFC West / AFC West in a certain combination (Seattle & St Louis or Arizona & 49ers) and going forward it should repeat as expected.
By the way
the link for Spag’s farewell speech is………..just Adam Schefter talking about how we’ll look to get Jeff Fisher
Dang, I just went by the title there. Stupid ESPN
I though ti would just be in the video but I didn’t want to watch it to check
Here's a link from the Washington Post
about why the Skins SHOULDN’T trade up for the #2 spot, and how we could be seeing Justin Blackmon next year……..in a Skins uni! I doubt anyone on this site wants him lining up against our D next season
Dorsey and McKenzie both seem like they need a long look.
If you are going after a great leader, I would look at a great organization. I would also look at Ron Hughes and Brandon Hunt of the Steelers.
Exactly
why I wished Spags could have had one more year. At any rate let’s get Fisher in here sooner than later. Hopefully Polian will take teh Chitown job and we can get DeCosta in here and get this ship righted. IN regards to the draft I would like to think we could swap back with Cleveland and still end up with Blackmon or Kalil. I am sure MN will take one of the 2 and we get the other plus picks. Now Cleveland could try to wait it out knowing that we and MN will not take a QB and still get their man at 4.
They won't wait.
Imagine the tension in the draft…and someone like the shithawks jump way up to number 2 and steal RG3. Cleveland will have to trade, IMO

Well
I don’t think Cleveland would have to worry about the Seachicks getting #2 the #3 maybe. That would be Rams team / fan relation suicide for a trade of that magnitude to take place in division.
I just picked a random team that needs a QB
There are a lot more

We play the skins about as much as any other NFC east team
On another note, I like this mckenzie charecter out of GB. No idea why, just seems appealing

Actually we play them more than any other team recently.
Played them the last 3-4 season in a row if I remember. I’d like to see us play the cowboys more because my wife and her family are big coyboys fans.

The Rams are reportedly interested in interviewing Dolphins interim head coach Todd Bowles for their own head coaching vacancy.
The Rams are widely considered the favorites for Jeff Fisher, whose agent is the father of the team’s Chief Operating Officer. Before they can move on Fisher, though, the Rams will have to satisfy the Rooney role. An interview with Bowles would do the trick, even if it’s an obvious sham.
