Rams trade with Cowboys?
It's looks like Flynn may go to MIA and CLE probably wants their picks as much as we do. I could see WAS as a possibility but Shanahan probably imo won't want to start over with a rookie QB in their win now mode. I think a trade will go to a team no one suspects much like ATL last year.
I posted this on another thread but what about trading down with the Cowboys? I read Romo could be out after this year. Maybe Jerry tries to make a splash and grabs RGIII? I know many people may think this is too far to trade down but there will still be good talent left at #14. IMO Decastro, Richardson, Floyd, Kirkpatrick, Jeffrey or some other top 10 prospect will fall a bit. What kind of compensation would it take? Would Jerry give us the farm? Any and all comments welcome. Thanks.

to amass multiple picks no position is too far to fall
but the lower we pick the more picks we will need for that coveted #2 spot. i believe some team will be excited with the prospect of getting rg3 to where they will deal. i’d rather not see him in our division but other than that the more picks we get the better.
Maybe their 1st, 2nd and 3rd this year
and 1st, 2nd and 3rd next year? After all we’re talkin’ bout Al Davis 2.0

Trade With Cowboys
Compensation:
OLB Bruce Carter, 6’3 233
Dallas’ 2nd and 3rd round picks for 2012 and 1st and 4th rounders for 2013.
This would be my starting point. It would be intersting to see what a Dallas counteroffer would be.
Yes
We can get a lot of picks and a tackle like Jonathon Martin could still be on the board. I would be fine with taking Floyd at 14 or maybe even DeCastro based on our FA signings.
definitely
their 1st and 2nd for 2013 would be in play. We could parlay those picks into even more picks in this years draft. I don’t like picking that far back with the first pick however. I would be more comfortable staying top ten in 2012.
They will notice and they will giggle.

Who do you think the Jaguars will draft with the 7th pick? What are your thoughts on Blaine Gabbert?
It's All good!
i like gabbert since he is from mizzou
Haven’t seen hardly any tape on him since he has been in the NFL though. I’ve heard he is scared so I hope he can drop that.
I like the Carter option.
Not as fast as Brown, but more mature and up to NFL speed. I think your trade is pretty close to accurate. They may not be able to drop Romo that fast considering RG3 isn’t pro-style ready and Jerry and Garrett are more pro-style oriented. The do absoutely need a playmaking QB.
As long as we don't get Romo or sanchez, I don't care who we trade with at this point.
We need not only starters, but depth on the roster too
Valdez - Are you still high
on Carter? I know he got hurt at the start of the season but when he did get healthy he couldn’t crack the Dallas starting lineup which isn’t full of all-pro linebackers. He had a whopping two tackles all season. I think some serious due diligence would have to go into acquiring Carter whether it is from a medical standpoint or simply other factors. I view it as a high risk move at this point.
Hey RTP!
I think Carter would be worth a shot. Coming off that ACL surgery in his final college game; virtually no offseason to speak of, I think he will be a good one. With a full offseason, being able to have full access to the facility and treatment, Carter could be a steal.
We don't always...
have to think draft picks with this kind of trade. Some warm bodies from Dallas would do just fine if they were the right ones. It seems like draft trades are never the ones you anticipate. Whatever happens, I think the chances are more people will be shocked than not.
truer words were never spoken

They'd have to give up sooooo much

which is the best thing about speculations....
no one knows what could happen.
