The NFL wants to have a team in London eventually. With the league playing the Rams there 3 years in a row that almost coincides with the lease, could they be prepping London to be the next home of the Rams permanently? Moving Jacksonville to Los Angeles and the NFC West and then sliding Miami over to the AFC South lets the NFL put the Rams in the AFC East making intra-division travel fairly easy. The NFL accomplishes two things: LA, the second biggest market in the US, has a team again and also the expansion to Europe begins.
