I was one of the few on here that thought that Spagnolo should stay on another year. But I was listening to the Radio today and amongst the series of irrelevant shotgun half truth observations, the guy finally connected on one with Spagnolo and the Rams and while I dont think its totally the reason, I feel it is a big one.
What the radio guy said is when you look at teams like the saints or colts or patriots, they are always drafting offensive players because they have their franchise quarterback and they want to maximize his capability. Those team's drafts are just revolving crap shoots on wrs, tight ends and running backs. They miss on alot, but hit on alot.
I guess you could say that that Rams started to do that a little bit in this years draft, but they didnt in previous drafts..they selected mostly defensive players.
But because of the Rams misfortune this year, this is a golden golden golden opportunity to trade down and take a bussload of offensive players and surround Sam Bradford and help him develop into one of the NFLs most lethal quarterbacks.
This draft should be all players on offense IMO. Defense needs a Tackle and a Linebacker which can be addressed in FA!
