Mock Draft Dream Land
I'm creating Mock Drafts to fill all the holes in the Rams' roster in my sleep! Try as I might, I can't get all of our needs covered without actually selecting RG3. The result being a bidding war with Cleveland, Washington, Miami and even the only mildly interesting draft picks of the Seahawks. Miami won't let go of Jake Long to sweeten the pot and the Skins and Hawks picks in the first round aren't that helpful. The Browns know this and won't get out of control, so the best we can do is Cleveland's #4 and #22 in the first, the Browns' #36 in the second, and their #132 in the fifth. Add their 2nd and 3rd next year and that's a Bill Bellicheat-worthy deal.
We end up with 2 firsts, 2 seconds, 1 in each following round for 2012. Here's what it looks like if the Vikes take either Kalil or Blackmon. My dream scenario is on the left with us getting Blackmon at #4 and my next best is on the right with us getting Kalil at number 4. Either is great--no trade opportunity with the Browns is a disappointment.
#4 J. Blackmon WR Ok. St.............Round 1..........#4 Kalil OT USC
#22 Martin OT Stanford..................Round 1..........#22 Jeffery WR S.Car.
#33 Brown OLB N. Car..................Round 2.......... #33 F. Cox DT Miss St.
#36 Brockers DT LSU................. Round 2..........#36 Barron SS Ala.
#68 Polk RB Wash....................Round 3...........#68 Osemele OG Iowa St
#97 K. Robinson OLB Texas......Round 4...........#97 Pead RB Cinc.
#132 Heyward CB Vandy..............Round 5...........#132 Jenkins WR Illinois
#162 Ellison TE USC..................Round 6...........#162 Fleming OLB Notre Dame
#193 Guy SS Kentucky .............Round 7..........#193 Rainey RB/KR
The dream draft has a lot of stretches in the middle rounds where some players need to fall quite a few slots. But if you notice, there are 3-5 real playmakers on each list. We need 'em.

Now this is a mock draft
I can sink my teeth into if it were to happen. Great job! It may be a reach that Martin makes it to #22 and Brockers to #36 but I would love both of those guys. Heck, I would take your left or right side scenario. The only tweeks I would make is to replace Guy with Rainey on your left side in the 7th round and replace Jenkins with Heyward on the right side in the 5th round. Other than that, it would be ideal!
Dnt feed they only get hungrier

Dont know much about that DT
but I would like AJ Jenkins. So the one on the left with AJ Jenkins somewhere in there.
Zack Brown pick #33
someone has to cover Vernon Davis and I think Zack Brown is the man.
Real good job.
I also don’t think some of those players will fall to us, but since it’s a dream list I’d be happy with the left side. On the right, I’d rather have Kendall Wright @ 22, but not my mock. Either side could be one of the best drafts in NFL history. We need it.
Please no more CBs or TEs!
How about some more offensive linemen, maybe a center? We are stacked at CB if our players remain healthy. Plus Finnegan said he is interested in playing for Fisher.
I will be pissed if we don't trade down
At worst take Clevelands 1st & 2nd rounders. Blackmon+Extra2ndRoundPick>Kalil

Stacked at CB?
IR personnel always make me nervous. Ability to stay healthy is one of my key draft criteria. Next year’s CB draft won’t be as deep, so I have no problem taking an experienced big time conference CB. We have some TEs under contract, but same deal—I don’t trust their health. I think we should bring in a slew of UDFA DT prospects to compete.
Good stuff, although I highly doubt brockers will be there at 36
But hell, I wouldn’t complain! The blackmon-martin combo would be wonderful. And chris polk is a prospect I like quite a bit

No RB?
there seems to be one hole you failed to fill. RB………
SJ needs to stay healthy all year which he hasn’t for a couple of years. Now being another year older and taking the pounding he did just to get to 1,000 yards again, we need and RB. Everyone seems to think pass, pass, pass. Well didn’t we draft pas, pas, pass last year. You can’t pass if you can’t run and vice versa. Once SB was out, look how they stacked the box againest SJ. richardson has vision, amazing change of direction and is faster than 50% of current NFL running backs (including SJ). If we don’t get him with the number 4 pick (after we draft down) or via a trade, it will be the biggest RB mistake in the draft we make since we left Barry Sanders for Detroit to take.
Trading down to the Dolphins(or lower)
is the only scenario I see us getting Richardson

Over on Hoggs Haven
The writer saw Holmgren in a restaurant and asked him about trying to get RG3, and he said absolutely, which implies that Cleveland wants him too!.
No need to check the link
I am willing to pass the rumor on without verifying because that is what I want to happen. If I were them, I’d wait until the last minute. They have the picks we need and they will make us trade with them as opposed to settling for the less valuable picks of the Fins or the Skins.
