St.Louis Rams Mock Draft
This is my mock draft. Note that I don't follow college football a lot and am going purely on various mock drafts and big boards from the internet. If you have any recommendations or suggestions tell me and I might just do another mock draft a better mock draft a stronger mock draft.
TRADE! The Rams trade with Cleveland. The Browns get the Rams NO.2 Pick. The Rams get the Browns NO.4 pick, 2nd round pick, 3rd round pick and another 3rd round pick in next years draft. The Browns want to ensure that they get RG3. Many teams are hungry for a QB and the Browns are getting the one they want.
With the fourth overall pick the Rams select.... Justin Blackmon WR Oklahoma State.
via nfldraftjunkies.files.wordpress.com
Warren Moon said he's Dez Bryant but with all the brain cells. Blackmon is considered by many to be the pick for the Rams and I think that if the Rams are to address the problem at WR they shouldn't use a later round pick. They need a top tier talent not a bunch of Austin Pettis'.
With their first second round pick the Rams select.... Brandon Thompson DT Clemson.
If it were another DT it would be Jerel Worthy. The Rams need a DT badly since Fred Robbins regressed big time. This run defense is awful and this will help.
With their other 2nd round pick the Rams select.... Ronnell Lewis OLB Oklahoma
I know James would really like to have actual outside linebackers by him. Ronnell Lewis and his teammate Travis Lewis are both good 2nd round picks at OLB but Ronnell Is rated higher from what I can see.
With their first 3rd round pick the Rams select... Chris Polk RB Washington
I know many of you have been praying for this guy to become a Ram and in this mock he will be one. We need a change of pace back that's worth a damn.
with their second 3rd round pick the Rams select..... A.J. Jenkins WR Illinois
You might be asking "Why AJ Jenkins?" Why the fuck not?
With their 4th round pick the Rams select.... Brandon Washington Guard Miami.
We need a Guard and add depth on the O-line. He has potential to be a starter. WalterFootball.com on
Brandon Washington has the size and athleticism to be a starting guard in the NFL. Washington is a pretty good pass blocker and packs a nice punch as a run blocker. He plays with a mean streak and was twice named the ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week his first year as a starter.
With their fifth round pick the Rams select.... Mychal Kendricks OLB California
At this point I'm just throwing in players at positions of need..Another OLB who is more of a pass rusher. Depth player.
With their sixth round pick the Rams select.... Landon Walker OT Clemson
via clemson.greenvilleonline.com
Not much to say here. Depth player who could replace Goldberg.
With their seventh round pick the Rams select.... Micanor Regis DT Miami
Depth player.

I like what you've done here
I think the obvious needs got addressed in the 1st 3 rounds, but then I’m kinda lost on some of these guys. Tell me more about this Chris Polk fella…
Overall, amigo, muy bien!
I didn't know a whole lot about him till I looked him up.
He’s run for 1,488 yards (5.1 average) and 12 touchdowns this year with an offensive line that is mediocre at best. Scouting reports have talked about how good his vision and patience are.

I watched this video
www.youtube.com/watch?v=o46hjBKtNw8
the background music is terrible, but his yards after contact are amazing……….if I had to guess it’s about 40 extra yards after contact. I love this guy
Everybody loves him.

complete assault on my ears.
i like polk, how late does he fall is truly the question I think, I don’t really think we are going to trade down this year.

I think with the RB position so devalued I see Polk falling to the early 3rd.

Nice thinking
A.J Jenkins to go along with Justin Blackmon now that’s what’s I called thinking outside the box.
I really like it
Thank you for not choosing Worthy. He will be a bust IMO. AJ Jenkins could be a good #2, Blackmon a stud #1. Amendola/Salas in the slot. Sounds good to me. Also like the Ronell Lewis pick.
I think worthy will be good but he isn't rated as highly rated as Thompson
Plus I won’t want Worthy getting all those offsides penalties he got in college with us.

Nice overall draft
I don’t think a couple of picks will be there, such as pick 2b. Ronnell Lewis, IMO, is a better OLB in a 3-4 D, afterall he’s 245lbs and was used as a hybrid DE/LB this year. He’d make a good SLB too, but I see him as a 3-4 LB. Polk, I would love to get him in the 3rd, but I think he’s gonna blow up at the combine and his stock will skyrocket. Kendiricks, is also a 3-4 OLB, especially since Cal plays 3-4 D. Plus, we have no 5th rnd pick as it goes to DEN as part of the Lloyd deal.
Forgot about the Lloyd trade.
Kendricks was classified under 4-3 on some of the sites I looked at same with Ronnell.

If they're listed to play in a 4-3 it's gonna be for the Sam
Kendricks is a little short for a 4-3 Sam; he’s what 6’? Ronnell could be a Sam, but I still think he’d be a stronger candidate for a 3-4 OLB due to his height and weight. If he can gain a few more pounds he could move inside in a 3-4. He’s got versatility [height, speed, and heart for the game] that Kendrick’s doesn’t have.

I like the double tap!
On positions of need. DT, OT and OLB. You have more faith in our CB corp. than I do.
