Overrated/Underrated?
I'm writing a guide for the upcoming season and I had a few questions about the Rams. I thought the best place to find some answers where from the fans themselves. Thanks in advance for answering a few questions.
Most overrated member of the Rams?
Most underrated?
Rookie of the year for the Rams?
What do the Rams need to address in the 2012 draft?
Do you believe Sam Bradford is your franchise quarterback?
Jeff Fisher made something out of nothing in Tennessee, how do you think he will do in St. Louis?
One thing you think that makes the Rams unique as a football team?

If it pertains to this year:
Sam Bradford most overrated.
Steven Jackson most underrated. Carried the offense on his shoulders this year. Especially, when teams knew when we were struggling with the passing game.
Rookie – Quinn. Excels on ST, and would have been considered for DROY if our coaching staff was smart enough to let him start.
Draft – Lots of areas. I’d like to see WR, OT, OLB (both), DT, and an OG/C.
Yes, Bradford is our QB, but he took a big step backwards this year.
Fisher will do well in St. Louis, especially compared to the garbage that has coached us for the last 7 years.
It’s fanbase. We are so used to losing, a 6-10 season is still a winning season.
About to go to sleep when I saw this. I'm going to get flamed to hell and back for saying it,
I love Jackson. He clearly gives 100% and I’m glad he’s on the team. He’s undoubtedly a great running back. BUT I have to go with him for being overrated. He has undeniable talent. Watch some other games though and watch ours. You’ll see our offensive line open lanes for him and him run straight into a group of defenders. Plays that an average RB can get ~4 yards for he gets stuffed at the line. I’ll hate on the offensive line (and coaches) for this and that, but there have been plenty of plays I’ve seen the lines part like the Red Sea and he’ll run into a tackle.

You, sir, have stumbled upon my ish list.
Been losing sleep over Rams football since 1999.
Steven Jackson is a beast, a legend, a HoFer and should be treated as such.

I have no idea what an "ish list" is but I'll take a few guesses
Hate on me all you want, he’s constantly running into his own lineman with a lane open. I love him but there’s no denying he could be better and that’s how – get some eyes/take better angles. Every running back will do it from time to time but he seems to do it several times a game.

Hmm
Underrated – Defense
ROY – Quinn
What needs to be addressed – Wr and offensive weapons for Sam
OS Sam still the man – from what stan is saying he is, but from reports fishers doesn’t think he’s a franchise qb, so i don’t know..
How will fisher do – good I guess
What makes the rams unique – still have a fanbase after playing like shit for years..
Bradford + Blackmon = Secondaries Beware

heres mine
1. As much as I liked him and thought he should stay on for one more year, the most overrated person on the Rams would have been Steve Spagnolo. Through out this failed season, he was not only exempt from media criticism but his actions were mostly defended at every turn by play by play announcers and most analysts.
2. Underrated is hard…I would be split between Steven Jackson and James Laurinaitis. As much attention as Jackson gets, I dont think he is considered even a top 10 back and I think this year he played like a top 5 back easy. But I think you have to give James the credit as he is every bit as good as the elite middle linebackers in the league and had the leadership to keep the defense fighting to the death in so many absolutely hopeless games this year.
3. Rookie of the year is Robert Quinn who bull rushes like an ox and made his presence known almost immediately and certainly boosted the Rams pass rush. He also had some great special teams plays with a punt block (which is pretty amazing, how many DEs have you seen block a punt?) and field goal block. Hopefully Jeff Fisher can help him round out his game to become one of the elite DEs in the game.
4. Offensive Tackle, Outside Linbacker, and Defensive Tackle
5. Yeah Sam is going to be an NFL great if the Rams can get their miserable passblocking worked out.
6. You know, this question depends on how good the GM will be. I think in the Titans superbowl run, they got lucky on some good talent. But I think overall the titans have been doing as bad or possibly worse than the Rams at picking talent. On top of that, the talent they did pick, they couldnt keep on the field (Albert Hainsworth, Kenny Brit, Vince Young, Even Chris Johnson a little bit). Not to mention others that just couldnt stay healthy (Jevon Kearse, Steven McNair). If the Rams get a good GM, I think Fisher is easily a superbowl winning coach.
7. The Rams have every bit the history as the Rest of the older storied NFL franchises and have fielded so many of the NFLs great HOF running backs. They have also produced some of the best offenses and defenses in both the modern era and all the way back to black and white televised football.
- And here's the Rams' 2010 season in a series. Incomplete pass, 18-yard run, incomplete pass, 7-yard run, 5-yard pass, 3-yard run, sack, incomplete pass, punt. Shoot me. - 3K
most overrated- Danny Amendola for fans thinking if he were healthy we would have been a much different team.or Sam Bradford , no one blames him and thinks its the fault of the players around him only.
Most underrated- Josh Gordy, came in and played great football without him we might have been a even worst D if that is possible
ROY of the rams- Quinn without a doubt, great rookie season would have been better if he got more playing time.
2012 draft should focus on D and O lines ,OLB, WR
Believe in sam- Not so much but he def. has a shot be be really good
I think fisher will make a huge difference in STL
Rams Bulls and Mets allllllllll day also i do love white castle
Okay.
Most overrated member of the Rams? Any one of our offensive linemen that cost a combined $18+ million.
Most underrated? Darian Stewart.
Rookie of the year for the Rams? Robert Quinn, no question. No one else even deserves consideration lol.
What do the Rams need to address in the 2012 draft? OL, DT, OLB, WR, CB. Take your pick.
Do you believe Sam Bradford is your franchise quarterback? I’ve been sold on Sam since 2008 and our godawful regime from last year has not changed that.
Jeff Fisher made something out of nothing in Tennessee, how do you think he will do in St. Louis? Make something out of nothing. And then make us consistent playoff contenders.
One thing you think that makes the Rams unique as a football team? The most obvious thing? Being the home of the Greatest Show on Turf. Currently? Being the team with a 15-65 record in the past 5 seasons
"Vick’s 100x the player Warner was.
Desean’s not quite at Holts level.
McCoy’s giving Faulk a run for his money.
Maclin’s better than Bruce.
Warner never took over games."

Most overrated member of the Rams?
Jason Smith (has been every year since drafted)
Most underrated?
Harvey Dahl, i think he did a great job filling in everywhere he was asked to playing gaurd and tackle. “thats not F****** holding!”
Rookie of the year for the Rams?
Robert Quinn
What do the Rams need to address in the 2012 draft?
WR OT OLB CB DT(in order)
Do you believe Sam Bradford is your franchise quarterback?
Yes no doubt he i capable of it
Jeff Fisher made something out of nothing in Tennessee, how do you think he will do in St. Louis?
hes got no where to go but up
One thing you think that makes the Rams unique as a football team?
i dont know, we are the only team in our division to be in a different time zone. lol and fanbase
Ok I'll give it a shot
Overrated- I don’t honestly think there’s anyone the fanbase really overrates. We know who our handful of decent players are, and we know all the ones who suck.
Underrated- I’m gonna go with Darian Stewart. He really was a nice surprise this year, even though he got overlooked with the rest of our secondary with the exception of Mikell being injured or lacking the skills to cover an 80 year old grandmother.
ROY- Quinn, not even questionable
Draft needs- WR, OL, DT, OLB, and CB (need level depending on how well everyone recovers from injuries)
Bradford as Franchise QB- Yes, he just needs the right system and some continuity
Fisher’s future with Rams- He will have a pretty average record to start, but only because of his experience making something out of nothing with terrible teams. How well he does after that depends on what kind of talent he brings in for future seasons. Sink or swim we’re definitely stuck with him for awhile.
Unique to Rams- The Greatest Show on Turf. Other offenses have been right up there in recent years (damn pats) but only one has a catchy name to go with it.
And only one has done it at that level for three years :)

Funny how this works...
but Darian Stewart just got overrated in the time it took me to read this post. He’s ok but a serviceable starter at best.
Darian Stewart was a huge reason for the big plays against us
He being safety is the last man to make the tackle and instead of an 8 yard run, he missed the tackle numerous times allowing for 50 yarders instead of only 8. He makes some great plays but he needs to sure up his tackling then he will be a good starter. Just another reason we shouldnt of let OJ go bc Darian just wasnt ready yet.
It's sad but I can live with serviceable for now.
There were a lot of positions where we didn’t even have that this year. I think he’s going to be ok, but we’ll see what happens with a healthy next season.
Here it goes...
1. Danny Amendola by FAR
2. James Hall
3. Robert Quinn
4. Draft Needs: It’s easier to say what our needs aren’t and what we don’t need is a QB, MLB or DE. Pretty much need upgrades everywhere else.
5. Yep, I believe in Sam Bradford.
6. I think Fisher will get us on track to being a contender year in and year out.
7. Our helmets are the best in football, and the GSOT
