PrintThe St. Louis Rams got a little offensive help this week from backup quarterback Kellen Clemens. After keeping a drive alive by hitting Brandon Lloyd on a 24-yard deep shot, Clemens scrambled into the end zone for a touchdown on the Rams’ opening drive.

Clemens isn’t known for his scrambling prowess, but he deserves a little credit for a heads up play to put the Rams on the board.
That was just the second rushing touchdown allowed by the 49ers this season.
St. Louis was shut out last week at Pittsburgh. It was the second time in a month that the Rams failed to score any points. For the season, they were averaging just over 11 points per game heading into today’s game.
At stake today is the top pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. If the Indianapolis Colts beat the Jaguars and the Rams lose, St. Louis will have the top pick.
