This is the last game of the 2011 regular season for the St. Louis Rams. My how things have changed since the highs of August, no? Expectations are a tricky thing. I'm not surprised that the Rams fell short in their quest to win the NFC West title, but I don't think anyone predicted that it would be such a spectacular fall.
Blame the injuries. Blame the coaches. Blame the front office. Blame the cosmos if you must. No it changes the reality of being 2-13 heading into the final week of the season. More than anything, I hope that whatever moves the Rams and owner Stan Kroenke do make in the weeks and months ahead are the right ones, the ones that finally bring winning football back to this franchise. I think we can all agree on that.
Big stakes today. The first overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft is on the line. A Colts win and a Rams loss, gives St. Louis the first pick and the boat load of trade bait that comes with it.
We'll see what happens. I'm already anxious for the 2012 season. I just know things will be better by then.
On another note, we plan on doing a lot more with our Facebook page in the months ahead, so even if you just joined Facebook to check out pictures of your old girlfriend or the boss' trophy wife, be sure to like TST as well.

shall any true Rams fan root for the fucking 49ers to beat us. I don’t care what’s at stake, there’s just some things that shouldn’t be tolerated.
That being said, will I be heartbroken if we lose today? I’m fully expecting the Rams to get throttled. Go Colts.

Here’s why I think it’s a good call: the 49ers weren’t expecting it. If Norwood is more accurate, it works. Norwood wasn’t, and it failed. This is a 2-win team; we move on.
I don’t want creative plays for their sake, but I want them because it keeps the opposing team off balance – which is McDaniels’ strategy.

Kendricks has been given a lot in the new scheme and shortened off season, true enough. But it’s the regular football skills part that gets us…missing catchable balls, that sort of thing. Now, I’ve been reading he’s been blocking well, which is good. He caught balls in preseason so I do wonder if he will naturally start settling down and start making catches if they just keep working with him.

all things being equal, the amount of money we save by trading Bradford for RG3 + another rd1 pick is enough to make a huge difference in terms of FA.
nobodys gonna want bradford because he cost way to much.
especially when the draft has 5 guys just like him every year that are a quarter of the price .not to mention we will suffer a huge salary cap penalty if he trade bradford. hes garunteed 30 million or something like that. trading him will never happen.

Sam is only as good as the offensive line allows him to be
he’s got a hell of an arm, but still not the best fit for a terrible team like the Rams. I think even with a mediocre line he could be a really good QB.

none of those things are very significant, I'd prob fire spags

And you have to consider his defensive contributions, which aren’t that apparent when the entire secondary is injured.
last year we had a huge step forward in terms of defense
but then Devaney filled important stops like DT and LB with castoffs of other teams, and every cornerback on the team got hurt.
