St. Louis Rams Could Add CB Rod Hood
The St. Louis Rams might be getting help at the cornerback position, according to Jim Thomas as the Post-Dispatch. Thomas reports today that the Rams have waived a couple players, and could be ready to add veteran CB Rod Hood. The move would give the Rams an experienced veteran to replace Ron Bartell, who is on IR with a fractured vertebrae.
Here's Thomas' tweet:
Dropping Ben Guidugli from the practice squad and Jermale Hines from the active roster is most likely a switch. Hines, a fifth-round pick this year, would go to the practice squad. Hines is the only safety on the Rams roster who entered the league via the draft rather than undrafted free agency, so they probably want to try and keep him.
Hood missed last season with a torn ACL. He had three interceptions as a mid-season addition to the Titans in 2009. Hood is a natural for man coverage. The Rams had him in for a physical earlier this season, and hopefully his knee passed muster. God knows they could him.
Josh Gordy and Tim Atchison may have some talent, but the Rams need veteran help at the position, just in case you forgot what's happened without Bartell.
Also working out for the Rams today: cornerbacks Michael Holmes, Bryan McCann and Jeremy Ware. Wide receivers Chris Brooks and Adam Mims also worked out today.

veteran presence
honestly, we probably could have used him 2 weeks ago. Not sure about his knees after blown 2010, but must be healthy enough now.

This sounds like good news!
Although it took quite a while to get Al Harris on the field. Will it take as long to get this guy on the field?
Does it take time for these player to learn how to play the scheme?
- And here's the Rams' 2010 season in a series. Incomplete pass, 18-yard run, incomplete pass, 7-yard run, 5-yard pass, 3-yard run, sack, incomplete pass, punt. Shoot me. - 3K
I dont care if he doesnt know the system.
Just plug him in opposite of Fletcher and give him these simple instructions. “Hit your man at the line and cover him wherever he goes. Let NO ONE run past you!”
so instead of drafting quizz rodgers we draft a guy who is now cut! this shit is ridicoulous devanney has to go! this bullshit is some bullshit!

Calm Down Bro
You guys are over reacting
Now if we were 0-3 vs bad teams then I would be worried. But I’m not worried.. There is still 13 games left where anything can happen. And you cant blame one person. You win as a team and you lose as a team.

Oh
I was discussing the Quizz thing with you thinking you knew what you were talking about. I was unaware that you were full of it. Please, proceed with your silliness. I’ll be off doing something more interesting
The fact we never pull the trigger on any star free agents, letting o.j. Atawgwe go, and the draft picks we took speaks for itself. Devanney Needs to go

I’m still butt-hurt over that trade and the dirty birds getting QUIIIIIIIIIIIZZZZZZ!!
And since he left, the Beavs are shit; I miss that little guy.

Broram u are right? I mean those drafted this year are the ones cut?! Devanney needs to go now! The only reason he doesn’t release pettis is because he was drafted early on!

Rod Hood is a Ram
Jim Thomas confirmed it on Twitter. He has agreed to terms.
nice
his knee must be better.
Can’t wait till Clayton and DA come back, and SJax in full force.
And they’ll be back during our “easier” part of the schedule. I still have hope.

there own mother dont know who they are lol why cant you bring back Avery and Gilliard really you prefer to go get two more scrubs ,man Devaney you are the pits as far as GM’s go, it don’t get any worst then this
I could be wrong...
a) don’t get any worst then this OR
2) doesn’t get any worse than this
