Only Week 2
It's only week 2 of the season, and I see people writing 2011 off already! Trust me, I am as frustrated as anyone, as I paid good money to go see that pitiful game last night. I know it doesn't get any easier from here, and realize we still have to play the Packers, Ravens, Cowboys, Saints, and Steelers. The one thing we CAN'T forget is we play in the NFC West! We are the best team in the division, as Seattle looks dreadful, AZ looks below average, and SF actually looks decent... The thing killing us is the stupid mistakes, such as muffed punts, fumbles, dropped passes, and bad penalties. I have faith that Spags can fix this and I'm not going to jump the ship and forget this season. The offense will fix the red zone problem, just give them a chance. Bradford looks good, and don't forget Clayton should be back week 7! Hopefully our WR Corps will look like..
1) DX (very impressive last night)
2) Mark Clayton (If we can stay healthy and hang onto the ball he will be a solid #2)
3) Danny Amendola (the man)
4) Austin Pettis (Can we please see him in action!)
5) Gibson/Sims Walker/Salas (Dont care much for them, but Salas is only a rookie, and MSW looked OK last night)
I think that Corps is good enough to get through the year.. (BLACKMON in draft)
Predictions for the rest of the season after the jump!
Week 3: BAL- Dont think we pull it off, hopefully we play them close... (0-3)
Week 4: WASH- Rams all over Grossman (although he has been aboce average) and offense comes alive.. (1-3)
Week 6: @ GB- Rodgers takes advantage of Rams weak secondary..(1-4)
Week 7: @ DAL- Big day in my household (dad is a Cowboys fan) I'll be the one celebrating (2-4)
Week 8: NO- We finally beat the Saints again, big day for the offense and Spags has D ready to defend Brees (3-4)
Week 9: @ ARZ- Yay!!! Need I say more? (4-4)
Week 10: @ CLE- Mcdaniels shows Shurmur how its done..winning record (5-4)
Week 11: SEA- Payback time (6-4)
Week 12: ARZ- SWEEEEEP (7-4)
Week 13: @ SF- I think they'll beat us once, Jim Harbaugh is a good coach.. (7-5)
Week 14: @ SEA- This better be the year we sweep them.. (8-5) (MNF)
Week 15: Cincy- Cincy pulls off the upset and AJ Green has a big day.. (8-6)
Week 16: @ PIT- Rams keep it close, but Pit pulls away late.. (8-7)
Week 17: SF- We get them back and blow them out in our dome.. (9-7, NFC WEST CHAMPS)
I have them at 9-7 winning the division..Thoughts? Comments? Lets go Rams!

I wouldn't be apposed to
bumping Spags down to just being a D coordinator and getting a new head coach. Any thoughts? But i wasnt the one new coach vote.
I don't think we are a weak team.
New offensive coordinator after a lockout and a bunch of rookies on offense is a bad combination.
This is two games in a row where we made Pro Bowl caliber quarterbacks struggle and spent a high percentage of our offensive plays on their side of the field. Our inability to convert in the redzone and injuries to Steven Jackson, Danny Amendola, Mark Clayton and Ron Bartell is affecting us at crucial moments in the game. I think if Jackson and Amendola are in the game our first and goal from the 1 yard line would have been a score cuz Jackson is such a beast at the goal line and Amendola just has a knack for getting open on short plays like that. Justin King made a bunch of bum plays that helped keep the Giants offense on the field but he is only on the field because Bartell (our best corner) is out.
Lets stay calm and ride out the stormy first half of our schedule and see how much better our team will be the second half of the season.
I'm suffering from an extreme case of laurinaitis!
If we limit the mistakes and get some RZ O
then this is still a 9 win team…
Sam Bradford to Mike Sims-Walker
Kinda has a ring to it
It's all about the offense.
The defense is suspect and not a strength, the good teams are going to take advantage of the terrible secondary and the zero pressure coming up the middle. Fred Robbins hasn’t shown up at all. Justin Bannan is not good.
Anyway, it’s all about the “O”. Bradford can pass at will and has become a surgeon out there. The receivers have to make impact plays though, they absolutely have to. They have to get off the line and beat man, they have to get open, even if it’s just a foot. In the red zone the tight ends must step up. They have to step up. If the red zone can be fixed then this team will win 7 games at least.
Where the hell
is Mark Clayton?
