We will rally around Sam Bradford and we will play good football
Yes, it feels like everything has fallen apart in regards to this team that we have gotten so excited about this off season. Major injuries, an embarassing loss, and a crumbling internal community all hit us on the same day. TST did what they had to do to pull us together and I commend them for it. They were put in a very difficult situation and they were left no other options. The bottom line is that we are a community here, even if it is made up of obsessed internet dorks whose only past time is to write fan posts about whether or not we should acquire randy moss for the 500th time.
After such disapointment in the game and our horrible reaction to it, I remembered some words that were uttered by Dick Vermiel after Trent Green was injured in the preseason after looking so good. He said "We will rally around Kurt Warner and we will play good football" He said it with a tear in his eye. I didn't believe him. But we rallied around kurt Warner and we played good football. So, in the midst of our fallen heroes, we must rally. Pull it together.

Hell yes
Bradford is gonna bounce back, and Sims-Walker and crew aren’t going to be facing the likes of Samuel, DRC and Nnamdi, so I expect better play from them. And Kendricks got all his drops and rookie nerves out of the way. Lets go RAMS!

I like the post Gomer.
You sound like the politician when asked a question about our failing economy. I am more of a realist but, I do like your post.

i'm kinda new here
but i agree 100%. i noticed a lot of negative talk after one game and questioned why. are we not optimists? what is the point in being a fan if you are not? Who in their right mind gives up after one game? seriously.
You just witnessed
the biggest meltdown from the fans on this blog, bad time to be new lol. The moderators straightened it out.

i honestly thought we could have won that game tho...
i mean it was 14-17 at half time even with some bad plays that should have been touchdowns. i dont think well have the season we all thought we would be having (only because of the injuries) but i still think we can have a productive season
17-10.
We only finished with 13 haha.

Damn right
As bad as things may look, it could be worse. We just have to get through this next stretch with a few wins and not get anyone else hurt. It isn’t time to give up the season as lost yet.
Dude, I didn't even read your post. You have been rec'd for an awesome title.
Carry on, and thank you. We shall kick arse on Monday at the expense of my girl’s team.

blah blah blah the sky is falling! blah blah Gloom and doom!
I don’t even understand how people with that mentality can enjoy watching football. Always have hope for your team, be positive and look on the bright side.

Truth,
look at the Bills. I don’t think a single one of them expected that.

I will explain it like this.
I LOVE the Rams more than most. However, I am also a realist and when we drop a duce like we did in that game it shows me more than most. We have an incredibly hard schedule ahead of us, much harder than last year and we really haven’t made the strides that we need to make to be competitive against the big teams. Our WR’s are still the worst group in the entire league and I challenge you to find worse. In fact I am not going to go much further than that although we are hurting terribly at a few other positions. If you can’t throw, you can’t win and it’s that simple. Losing Danny makes things that much worse.

Realism and optimism aren't mutually exclusive
Its a choice to dwell on fucking up the opener. Its a choice on searching for positivity through the negative. Its not like ur some special overseer of all Rams things and u can see SOOO clearly and every positive person is just blind. They just choose to root differently. You sound like you have an elitist attitude towards fandom and that ur just a better fan because u believe you understand the game on some deeper level that we havent yet achieved. False. Just accept what happened, and hope for better and SEARCH for better.
+1
Its is called being reactionary. When you make a decision based off a single event rather than the whole body of work, it usually isn’t a good idea. Stepping back and taking a good look at the big picture is the only way to run a franchise.

Hey,
you leave Chris Everett alone!

The Pledge
I Pledge to stand firm as a true, loyal and eternal Rams fan
To write, Blog and share it all with my Ram Brothern
To read and absorb all the great material on TST
To discreetly comment, reply and be respectful in doing so
To accept and welcome the opinions of all fans from the other teams fan sites
To weigh all the facts given and explore new ones
And realize that being a Rams fan is a true blessing
Ummm yeah.
That’s it. It’s a choice to be a realist, look at facts and come to a conclusion. Sure I could say we are better than the Cardinals but, after watching the games and looking at stats I know that we are not. We have been absolutely terrible and with injury and lack of effort we are getting worse. Sorry man, I have been right a good amount and I think I can say that I have been right much more than not. If you want optimism, we may have a shot at the Redskins. If we fail to beat them, Spags will be gone by seasons end.

And furthermore Susan-
You can’t be optimistic about the start to this season. If your are optimistic about being in the bottom three of both points scored and points allowed, you should stay off of the drugs.

This post has single-handedly restored all my confidence for the season. Thank you.
GO RAMS!!!!
I love that video

Lads and Lasses...
Monday is a new day, and I will be optimistic and shiny and happy and hoping for a Rams win just as I did this past Sunday. I expect all of you will do the same! In this league it truly is “any given sunday,” and it’s only week 1! Good post, gomer.
I'm only calling you bitches 'cuz I don't know your names individually.
I'm gonna wait to see what the turning point will be...
that will either propel us into a feeding frenzy or flat spin. Somehow I don’t have a feeling that we’re just going to be a mediocre team this year.
Comments are writer's OPINION and are in no way are any type of divination, scrying or any other types of spiritual prediction.
I think
that we will rally around Fred Robbins and play good football
Remember the great 2004 and 2005 Rams teams...
