St. Louis Rams Head Coach Steve Spagnuolo Press Conference - LIVE

The student has not become the master...yet.

St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo gives his day after presser at 2 p.m. Central time today. The coach should have plenty to talk about in today's press avail. At the top of the list will be questions about the status of injured players like Sam Bradford, Steven Jackson and Danny Amendola

Let me go ahead and throw out a spoiler. Do not expect any confirmation as to whether not Bradford or Jackson will play next week against the New York Giants. That's especially true for Bradford considering the nature of his injury as a wait-and-see kind of thing. Jackson's status might be a little clearer, but remember, the veteran running back often misses practice time during the week to rest.

You can watch Spagnuolo's press conference live right below and discuss in the comments. Following his presser we'll have more for you to chew on from yesterday's game. For now, enjoy the coach.

A bit confused

If Spags is saying the team isn’t prepared to execute “basic things”, isn’t he condemning his own coaching? Who is responsible for the “basic things?”

1 gm into a season and already it's slowly unfloding before my eyes...

why god why!!? do you really hate the rams that bad? and i was feeling bad for the giants injuries, we need to look in our own backyard. bartell is not good at all! murphy? now bartell? smfh…….!

by Mark Jaramillo on Sep 12, 2011 2:18 PM CDT reply actions

Besides the Bartell news (and it's pretty serious news)

I think I’m satisfied. I already accepted the idea of Danny being out for the year but Smith is only day to day and Bradford only has a bruise. Steven is prolly missing a game, so over all . . . . I can live with it. Bartell’s injury is killer though

lets see how he’s going to go in the rest of the season with a bunch of scrubs! he better win coach of the yr and coach his mother f’ing ass off!

Real sorry about the injuries. Hope your peeps are okay, and from what it looks like, sorry about Bartell, that’s insane.

I dislocated my elbow playing football a couple years ago

one of the most painful things I’ve ever been through, so I DEFINITELY feel Amendola’s pain. Its a shame, and the rehab for that is really painful. Good thing is, though, that there shouldn’t be any lingering effects from it when he’s ready to go.

the Dr said it was like spaghetti, an the ball of my bone was down on my biceps.

I have synthetic ligaments in both now. It actually affected my ability to grasp things, like my hand reacted so slow I for like 6 months….it was weird.

Anyone who goes through that, I automatically have a sense of community with.

The NFL ballers are so tough, man. Seriously tough.

by CoachConnors on Sep 12, 2011 2:34 PM CDT up reply actions

Yessir. You probably impinged or tore a nerve in the process.

When I had my elbow popped back in, I had to wear a cast for a week, but had to cut it out early because my elbow was the size of a large grapefruit and the pressure on my radius/ulna was disgustingly intense.

Dislocations are a nasty business

I feel your pain, mate

but draft picks are gold. I don’t think you guys do it for that reason.

Plus from what Ive seen with the Giants….once Quinn picks it up and you have a consistently strong pass rush, it’ll hide alot of your secondary mistakes…..you guys were pretty successful against the Eagles’ OL, so you might not be too far off.

On ESPN, Adam Schefter suggested Danny Amendola is not necessarily out for the year and could return after the #Rams Week 5 bye.

by Option27 on Sep 12, 2011 2:30 PM CDT reply actions

I do

Generally from what I’ve seen in my years of watching football at all levels, mild dislocated elbow is about 3-6 weeks. Really depends on the severity.

So he’s good?

Just need to worry about replacing Bartell

We were gonna lose most of the games in the first half of the schedule anyways, couldn’t have asked for better timing.

I know, I’m trying really hard to look at the bright side

by Option27 on Sep 12, 2011 2:43 PM CDT reply actions

Well the good news to me is that

I heard Justin King’s name called quite a bit yesterday for his good play. Got burnt once but mostly solid. Caddy can fill in for the day monday. Guy was beastin out yesterday. Bradford is fine and 5-6 weeks for danny amendola..clutch because we will also be gettin mark clayton back and our receiving game will improve. Al Harris will have to step up and be a man. 36 years old? no worries, the dude is in serious shape. I think we can find SOMETHING at corner out there. anything would be good lol

by Lexxi on Sep 12, 2011 2:51 PM CDT reply actions

Hopefully

Spags takes the leash off McD and Bradford and just let’s those 2 sling it. I don’t give a shit about INT’s, turnovers, etc. Just throw the fucking ball, run Caddy and get Norwood in the game. Let’s get aggressive God damn it. Fuck it, we got some crazy injuries to deal with. But our line is still healthy (fuck Smith’s fat lazy pussy ass) and we got our stars on defense still. Let’s just go balls to wall, fuck the haters and hope we can pull out some wins.

GO FUCKING RAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Huh?

Justin King had a blind side sack and one decent stop against the run. He was out of position several times yesterday. Never trusted the guy, and would rather have a healthy J Murphy.

How can coaches play Bejema or Keihl. (spelling?) How many times do we have to witness a false start, when 1st, or 2nd, an goal. Kiehl (?) just having him on the team spells DOOM. Our only touchdown was cause Jackson ran it all the way, so none of our team mates could stall our long drives. 3rd an 7. Gibson goes 6 yards. You know none of these really special players gets injured. ( I do NOT want anyone HURT), just say in. I’m soooo annoyed.
