Oak City Game Review

 The Oak City Review:

First of all like most of you out there in Rams land, I had high hopes for Sunday’s first challenge to Earth City football. To say I was disappointed would be a huge understatement. The post game depression ruined the rest of my Sunday, as I’m sure it did for many of you. I had thought’s of never watching a Ram’s game again, staying away from this blog, and other terrible thoughts to ease the pain of watching the team have just about everything that could go wrong….Go Wrong!

So what do you do about it? Well with the euphoria that comes with watching us win a game, you also run the risk of feeling defeated when we lose. I wanted to look at some of the positive things we did and put the bad behind.

1. Steven Jackson touchdown:  I remember watching this first play and thinking….Oh NO! Last time we scored on the first play it went downhill from there. Unfortunately that’s exactly what happened. I never want to see us score on the first play of the game again…..It’s bad JuJu!

2. Brandon Gibson: Now for everyone taking shots on him, he did beat Asomugha MudWamp for a 31 yard gain.

3. Q. Mikel: I’ve seen a lot a talk about how the "Q" sucked. Well he blind-sided Vic, knocking the ball into J. Laurinitis to recover a fumble.

Okay, so there isn’t a lot to find positive but those three things shows we can do some things right. If Jackson hadn’t gotten injured, receiver’s dropped almost every important catch and our O-Line acting like water running through a screen door; it might have ended up a nice upset by us. As much as I hate the idea of bringing in Randy Moss, it’s starting to look like that might be worth the risk. Especially if the guys we have now keep dropping balls that are lying in their hands.

The Reason we Lost this Game:

We got Faulked: Marshall bless his heart, Jinxed us with his "40 Burger" comments. I hope in the future he shuts the hell up about the Rams winning anything. I want him to say we have no chance and then maybe the bad MoJo will look the other way.
