LARams1968's Bottom Ten
Earlier this week ram_rod with help from Douglas M, Brick Top, and 3K posted power rankings.
While reading them I remembered an old syndicated column called The Bottom Ten. It was
a humorous look at the leagues worst teams. I googled The Bottom Ten to see if it still exists. I found many references to college bottom ten lists but none for the pros. This column was about the pros. Sometimes a teams's ranking was well deserved. Sometimes it was based on something about it that week. This is a funny list of the leagues worst teams. Not necessarily factual but enterntaining, I hope.
The ten worst teams according to me:
10. New England Cheatriots
They are actually good. This week they get an honorable mention for their sense of "Fair Play".
9. Seattle Seagulls
Living the "good life" with Bevell, T. Jackson, and Rice.
8. Minnehaha Vikings
Dreaming of the good old days with Bevell, T. Jackson, and Rice.
7. Indiannapolis Colts
They messed with the Rams and got the horns.
6. N.Y. Jets
Mesmerised by the footwork of Chris Ogbonnaya. Or, was it just his feet?
5. San Diego Chargers
They had the audacity to come from ahead and lose the the seagulls.
4. Cincinnati Bungles
They aren't the Bills or whiners.
3. Buffalo Bills
They are bad, really bad but were bumped higer by the whiners.
2. S.F. Whiners
Not only was their preseason opener lousy but it was a pleasure putting them here.
1. K.C.
They laid a goose egg in K.C. and should be well fed come Thanksgiving Day.

I remember the bottom 10
Oregon State used to live there. Several years in a row. I think it was sports illustrated wasn’t it?

There was a "Bottom Ten" devoted to the pros in newspapers
It was syndicated and in local newspapers. I might be remembering something that predates most TST posters. I thought it was funny as heck but then the Rams were good year after year and weren’t featured much if at all.
I remember...
The NY Jets, Tampa Bay and New England were regulars
