Jacob Bell A Free Agent in March
According to Howard Balzer's twitter, Jacob Bell's current contract will expire and he will become a free agent this coming March.
Howard says that part of the deal for Bell agreeing to restructure his contract was if he had the right to become a free agent this coming March.
Bell has been a disappointment due to his sub-par run blocking the past couple of seasons. Bell is a good pass blocker and ranked as arguably the best on the Rams offensive line in this statistic last season.
Bell played a good game in Saturday's preseason game and showed some surprising ability to get push given his reputation.
Maybe the upcoming free agency period has lit a fire under Bell.
Whether or not we resign Bell this offseason will be one interesting story to watch after the season is over.

Honestly
I’d love it if he had a contract year. We need all the help we can get on the offensive line.
I’d rather see us draft a replacement for him though, instead of handing him another huge contract.
i was hinking the exact same thing
If he plays well this year then maybe give him a 3 year extension but honestly we could find a better guard elsewhere even in he draft same with jason brown.
I think we should be fine with Jason Brown for quite some time.
All for picking up a big strong guard to replace Bell though.
Two things about me will never change. I will always root for the Rams, and I will always root against the Niners.
Brown will be fine
provided he has decent Guards with him. Last season he spent alot of time with little or no help from Goldberg – i’ll be very interested to see how he goes with Bell and Dahl

I see Brown and Dahl tearing up the middle of the field. Should be fun to watch.
