It's official. Although the contract won't be signed until later today, LB Ben Leber has agreed to terms with the Rams. This is fantastic news, and a huge signing. Leber is a 10 year veteran having played with the Chargers, as well as the Vikings. The contract details have not been disclosed.
He is 32 years old (33 in December).
His signing will solidiy the Rams LB corp, and makes the Rams one of the more talented teams at the position. Coupled with the great news about Laurinaitis, it makes this signing even better news.
The Rams have been extremely active in bringing in veterans to fill massive voids from years past. Leber brings a tougness against the run and decent coverage skills to the Rams. Look for the Rams defense to take another big leap forward this season.
