What the Mike Sims Walker signing really means

As you all have heard by now, Mike Sims Walker is now officially a Ram. As soon as I heard this I immediately thought that this would mean one of two things. Either A) Robinson (obviously) Gilyard, and the two rooks will compete with Gibson for the last cut, which means we'll retain Mark Clayton, Donnie Avery, MSW, DX, Amendola, (Rookie or Gibson). With that said, I have a feeling there's more to this than what may appear on the surface, leading to B) What if we don't/can't get a deal done with Mark Clayton? Perhaps I've missed something, but I have heard next to nothing about Clayton being re-signed. He was supposed to be one of our top priorities entering FA, yet, he remains unsigned as another FA WR moves in.  Also while reading some of the comments, Chop mentioned something about Avery being trade bait. I think this scenario is very very possible. At this point assuming Clayton comes back, we have 9 guys on the roster without counting our special teamers. I find it extremely unlikely that we just flat out cut all of the WR's, I'm sure there's some type of market for these players albeit a small one. Perhaps Gilyard may even be trade bait? Either way, expect someone to be traded very soon...or just a lot of cuts.
