Bumped to the FP by Van.
In that Mike Sando blog on Jackson being snubbed for the top 15 in Matt Williamson's rankings, I posted my opinion on the whisperings everywhere on jackson's decline. In my post I happened to mention Jackson and the HOF because I think its pretty much a done deal if he plays around 6 more seasons which I think he will.
Anyways there was a Seahawk fan on there that posted that he though Jackson was good but there was absolutely no way he is a HOF running back.
If Jackson has 6 or 7 more seasons, he will have Dickerson-like numbers. I think that should make the HOF a sure thing. If this Rams team on the rise happens to string together some consecutive playoff seasons with perhaps a Superbowl win and will thus be more in the spotlight, I think everyone's attitude towards him will shift incredibly. Then guys like Williamson will write stuff like "Jackson is a sure fire first ballot HOF candidate" or whatever.
Besides, if the Rams get better at Guard, I think all this decline nonsense will subside. He might be a touch slower than he was before, but dude his stomping over linebackers ability is there in full force.
Is Jackson a HOF player?
