Breakdown of 2011 Games: 9-12

Bumped by Van.

Here we are again,

A breakdown of the next four games. Last time you the greatest vote said that at the end of week eight we would be 3-4, which is what i thought as well. If we want to get into the playoffs then we have to win the games coming up. None of these games are a sure win though. So now, the jump

Week 9: St. Louis Rams @ Arizona Cardinals

Well for some reason we don't play an NFC West team till week 9. The first divisional team we play are the Cardinals. They were ranked last in our division. We should've swept the Cardinals last year, but didn't... To me the Cardinals don't seem improved at all from last year, and that's largely because they do not have a quality quarterback. Right now they want the lockout over so they can acquire Kevin Kobb or Marc Bulger. I have a hard time believing the Rams will loose this one. Cardinals have too many problems to fix, although they may have them figured out by week 9.

Look for: Rams to get a much needed win

Match-up: Our receivers vs. their secondary

Win: 28-17

Week 10: St. Louis Rams 2 Cleveland Browns

The Browns confuse me. Some games they look like they could beat anybody, but then again other games they look like anyone can beat them. A storyline to look for here is two potential great quarterbacks in the NFL. Them being Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy. Expect the offense to put up good numbers. Steven Jackson could very well have an amazing day. Last year the Browns defense was 27th in rush yards allowed per game (129.4). They Browns aren't too bad at pass defense. The Browns had a solid draft. They helped their defensive line as well as getting new weapons on the offense, like Greg Little. I think if our defense can stop and/or shut down Peyton Hillis we will have an easy win.

Look for: Steven Jackson running down Browns

Match-up: Peyton Hillis vs. Our defensive line

Win: 14-10

Week 11:Seattle Seahawks @ St. Louis Rams

It's up to you Sam Bradford. They embarrassed us on national television. They got into the playoffs and we didn't. It's now time to seek revenge. Home fans want to see a win in the worst way. Of course we will need a solid performance out of everybody rather than just Sam Bradford. In the first game against the Seahawks last year we seemed to be able to move the ball and score, but then in the second game we couldn't do squat. There are reasons why we couldn't in the second game, but we all know the reasons. The Seahawks didn't have a good draft at all. They tried to solidify their offensive line, but they reached a bit. The Seahawks have quarterback problems and their defense isn't too great. I think the Rams, as well as the fans, really want this win.

Look for: Sam Bradford's leadership to shine

Match-up: Sam Bradford vs. Secondary

Win: 20-15

Week 12: Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Rams

This will be a very similar game to the week 9 facing. Rams play very well at home. The Cardinals just don't seem like much of a threat at this point. Their defense is 30th in points allowed per game (27.1), 29th in yards allowed (373.6), and 30th in rushing yards allowed per game (145.2). I just think the Rams established themselves to not loose this game.

Look for: Steven Jackson's touchdown dance

Match-up: Sam Bradford's offense vs. A struggling defense

Win: 35-7

4-0? Is it possible? I think yes. The Cleveland game is a toss-up, but I'm confident we can win it. The Rams need these games to step in front of our division. Rams need to win these games to have any playoff dreams. If we sink these games we sit at 7-4, which is very nice. I think it can happen. GO RAMS
