Random Ramsdom, 5/14: Sam Bradford statue day
I'm at a loss for a catchy intro. Forgive me. A look at today's must-reads about the St. Louis Rams and the rest of the NFL...or what currently constitutes the NFL.
Sam Bradford getting his own statue
Sam Bradford will be in Norman, OK for an OU fundraiser today. At the event they'll be presenting Bradford's Heisman statue, and he'll be joined by past Sooner Heisman winners like Billy Sims and Steve Owens.
Wroten signs with CFL's Argonauts
Former malcontent Rams DT Claude Wroten landed a new gig this month, signing with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. Wroten has spent his last two years in the UFL after being unceremoniously dumped by the Rams.
2012 NFL Mock Draft goes DT for the Rams
A 2012 mock draft over at Mocking the Draft has the Rams picking another UNC defensive prospect, DT Tydreke Powell.
Ryan Broyles Player Profile
Ryan Broyles, the star WR from Oklahoma, has great hands and should be a solid slot WR in the NFL. Over the next 12 months, there will be a big debate about whether or not Broyles is a first-round pick. Personally, I think he is, but his senior season at OU will have a lot to say about that.
NFL Lockout: Players 'Resent Being Lied To', DeMaurice Smith Says
If you think the NFL lockout is going to be somehow resolved before the June 3 court date, think again.
49ers' pass rush needed another Smith
San Francisco bolsters its defensive line with stealthy and versatile pick Aldon Smith. Paired with Justin Smith, the unit will be a challenge for the Rams offensive line this year. Between the lines, it means OLB Manny Lawson might not have a roster spot. Lawson, excellent in coverage and mobile, would be a nice upgrade for the Rams on the weakside.
Experts: Players' case is stronger, but NFL could win appeal - NFL - CBSSports.com Football
Clark Judge at CBS has an excellent Q & A on the lockout and the court situation with a couple of experts on the matter. If you're confused about the drama that's playing out in the courts, read this.

PS.
I don’t think Broyles should be a 1st round selection.
Alshon Jeffrey, Blackmon, Sanu etc. all look real impressive and Broyles who translates as a slot or #2 WR shouldn’t be picked in the 1st. Not saying he won’t but that if I was a GM he’d get a 2nd round grade.
Bradford to Onobun!
Yea that's true
If he was taller there’s no doubt he’d be a 1st rounder. His height is his only knock.
Get some impact players!!
I can agree
but we definitely should look into him as a second rounder. Even though we got 2 tall guys now, depending on his year now, go get him!!
Go RAMS!!

I agree
Dude is a stud, I think he led the NCAA in touchdowns (correct me if I’m wrong). He has speed and will go get the ball. Not afraid of a hit too.
Get some impact players!!
how fast is he?
he looks fast on the field but i haven’t seen whole oklahoma games to judge his long speed or track speed? I’m sure he’d mack the shuttles but is he a 4.2/3 guy?
If he was 6,2 he’d be a 1st round lock imo.
Bradford to Onobun!
I honestly don't know his 40 time
But I would guess he’d be 4.3 or around that. I think the 40 times are overrated I look at it as field speed and he has it.
Get some impact players!!
Great article on the NFLPA vs NFL case
Sounds like we have three weeks, AT LEAST, until we hear anything on the lockout stay. Interesting tidbit about the NFL goofing up and putting into last CBA that they wouldn’t complain if the NFLPA decertified in the future. Why haven’t any of the judges caught that?
He deserves it!
I knew this day was coming but glad it’s finally here! So proud of and happy for Sam! Love my boy!
Go Rams...go Sammy B!!!
