Around SBN: Win or Lose, Boston Celtics' New Big 3 Era A Success

My Revised Revamped Mock Draft

1st: JJ Watt: I don't think we are going to be able to grab Julio..... So I think we will go with the next big thing..... Enter JJ Watt..... Great size and pass rushing ability.... Has no character concerns and has a non-stop motor..... Don't know how he will do with the 4-3 scheme. NFL Comparison: Jared Allen

2nd: Leonard Hankerson (Steal): With Julio gone... We went with bolstering our D-Line. Now in the second round, time to find a big target for King Sam to throw to deep. Hankerson is a strong and physical receiver with big play ability. Decimated the secondary in the Senior Bowl.  NFL Comparison: Poor Man's Anquan Boldin

3rd:Bruce Carter: Now with our top two needs taken care of, We can start building our linebacker corps. Carter has great speed and can drop back in coverage effectively.Draft stock takes a hit because of ACL injury, otherwise could be a late-first round pick. NFL Comparison: Will Witherspoon

4th: Demarco Murray: S-Jax is starting to show his wear and tear from carrying this team on his back throughout the years. Drafting a every down RB like Murray and maybe signing a speedy RB or finding one later in the draft can stretch Jax's playing years. Murray runs hard and shows good initial burst. Also is one hell of a receiver. Could potentially be Jax's successor, not just another backup. NFL Comparison: Poor Man's Ryan Matthews

5th: BPA

6th: BPA

7th: BPA

Dude I like it

Not only do you have us picking Hankerson in the 2nd who i like but you also have my fav RB in this draft to us in the fourth. I don’t think that he’ll last til the 4th i think more like the third but hey he’s a steal in the 4th.

Yea overall its good

JJ Watt is someone I’d stay away from this Draft. Dont like his athletisism and doesnt look like much of a big time playmaker. I’m sold on Hankerson, Carter, and Murry but not on Watt.

He reminds me of Carriker

And looks to be a run stuffer not a pass rusher.

Yea I know

I’m an OU fan so i watched all his years. I think he could start in the NFL for the Rams after Jackson wears off. He can catch out of the backfield and make plays for himself plus he all ready has chemistry with Sam.

Well I have these issues.

JJ Watt isn’t a passrusher from what I heard, I like Hankerson, but I been reading that the Rams don’t like him. Bruce Carter seems like a good pick and I like the guy from OU. The first two picks are iffy.

Is that great man formally known as Tevin T. Broner, also I'm on twitter T_bron

Jim Thomas said

in a chat that Hankerson isn’t on the Rams radar. Anyone know if that changed?

I'm kinda hoping that's just a smokescreen

Although I’m not completely enamored by Hankerson, I think he’s the 3rd best receiver FOR US coming out this year and the best of the 2nd round possibilities.

watts a good player

but imo dont fit the system, no burst off the edge.strictly 3-4

From Chad Reuter, of CBS sports

“Compares to: Adam Carriker, Redskins — People were impressed with Watt’s combine performance, but scouts saw very similar results from Carriker four years ago. Carriker seemed to fit Washington’s 3-4 scheme well in 2010, so Watt’s career might get off on the right foot if he can find a similar situation.”

Hmmmm….

I hate Carriker and Watt is comparable to Carriker so

in a way i hate Watt.

I am not a huge fan of the DE's this year.

I haven’t been majorly enamoured with ANY in my draftnik years either.
To me DE just seems so difficult to scout.
I have a real good feeling over Aldon Smith though.

Bradford to Onobun!

Didnt know JJ was a strictly 3-4 end

I thought he would have trouble switching to the 4-3
