Todd McShay's Round Two NFL Mock Draft: Predictions already blown for the Rams
Todd McShay's 2011 NFL mock draft extends to the second and third rounds of the draft, which happening tonight. He released his third round mock draft today. His second round mock came out yesterday with this first round. And how to the St. Louis Rams fare McShay's next two frames after landing North Carolina DE Robert Quinn in the first round?
It's already broken. McShay had the Rams picking Pitt WR Jonathan Baldwin in the second round of his mock draft. Baldwin, however, was picked by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 26th pick in the first round. Interestingly enough, McShay's mock draft has Torrey Smith, Tandon Doss, Randall Cobb and Greg Little off the board in the second round, in that order. I'd love to see the Rams take Greg Little. Is he a second round pick?
At running back, McShay's mock draft has Mikel Leshoure picked at 58 overall by the Ravens, an Ryan Williams picked at 64 by the Packers. Those are the only two running backs to be picked in the second round of his mock draft. It seems unlikely that the second round will unfold that way with regard to running backs. The Rams have some running backs ranked pretty highly on their board. It's unlikely they'll get out of the second round without a running back.
In the third round of McShay's mock draft the Rams get their running back with Johnny White of North Carolina...another UNC player.
Last night's draft results were a good reminder that anything can happen, and mock draft predictions, unless you're Rick Gosselin, don't mean much when the shooting starts.

Please
No second round WR. We have 10,000 second round WRs on our team (ok, a slight exageration).
2nd and 3rd : DT, OL, RB: Do it. In that order based on best talent available.
Angel Pitching, Angel Defense - get past that.

Throw in a OLB in there
I think it’s actually more of a need than RB, looks like there could be a couple of good options via free agency.

I think if he falls we get him
He would be ideal as a SAM: Good first step on the pass rush, is physical, but lacks the motor and effort. Reminds me of Carlos Dunlap. If he puts in effort cuold be great.
Otherwise, Marcus Cannon OG.
How can you not say they should look at OLB in one of those rounds?

Good point
‘cept I can’t fit so much into 2 rounds!
Ok, DT, OL, RB/OLB.

Give me a player from "Da U"
Leonard Hankerson or Brandon Harris please.
beer me and bobhugehands have got me thinking
My posts were pretty lame. I’ll stick with the “Please no second round WR”, but otherwise I was pretty lazy.
2nd round pick in order of preference (they all sound good to me).
Mike Leshoure
Akeem Ayers
Marvin Austin
Stephan Paea
Rahime Moore
Ryan Williams
Orlando Franklin
Clint Boling
Daniel Thomas
Will Rackley
Bruce Carter
Mason Foster
Actually, we pick up any two of the above and I’ll be happy.
Angel Pitching, Angel Defense - get past that.
