In this post im gonna see what it would be like if we traded down a bit. For now lets just say its to 23 with the Eagles. Obviously Julio Jones is gone, so is Aldon Smith, Corey Luiget, and DaQuan Bowers. So basically this is a bad situation, but If we trade down it is possible. Here is who is on the board that we've been sorta looking at.
Mike Pouncey, OG- Florida. A lot of people have said that 14 is too high for Pouncey, but I think 23 is a little bit more in his neighborhood. And lets be honest, OG is one of our biggest needs. So Mike Pouncey is a liable option to get SJ39 going again and keep Bradford going.
Stephen Paea, DT- Oregon State. I think Stephen Paea would be a very good pick for us if we would decide to take him. He is the strongest player in the draft ever and has a strong bullrush. He isnt that tall but that can give him leverage. Paea would be a starter from day one most likely and would replace Gary Gibson.
Ryan Kerrigan, DE- Purdue. Maybe not really on our radar too much right now, but when things like Corey Luiget and many other options are gone, you have to look at new prospects. Kerrigan has a great motor just like someone I know (hint: his first name starts with C and last name with L). He has great strength. He can give a good pass and be effective in the run defense.
Muhammad Wilkerson, DT- Temle. We should defantely look at this guy if he is still here a 23. He is considered by some as the best DT pass rusher in the 2011 draft class. In the run game he has great athleticism, he has a good motor and is quick to locate the ball.
