2011 Rams Mock Draft III

Ok well some of this might change due to the CPA deal and free agency, but basically this is what i think will happen if Julio Jones is gone prior to the 14th pick.

Round 1

Mike Pouncey, OG- Florida. Ive said it once and ill say it again, we should trade down to the Chargers or Colts. So trade down to 18th/22nd pick. I would personnaly like the 22nd because we can still get who we want and a extra one or possibly 2 picks out of it. So with the 22nd pick of the draft we take Pouncey. In return We get a extra 3rd and 5th round pick.

Round 2

Mason Foster, OLB- Washington. I have recently had him in the third round but as of now he is projected to go in the 2-3 rounds. I would say he has good speed for his size, is a good run stopper, and is a big hitter so we will be able to see those big hits we want.

Round 3 #14

Jarvis Jenkins, DT- Clemson. A big time run stopper who will help bring pressure off Chris Long the second we take him. A decent pass rusher but not one of the elites.

Round 3 #18

Kendall Hunter, RB- Oklahoma State. I know a lot of Rams fans think that we can get Kendall Hunter in the 4th round, but im here to tell you its not happening. He has to good of speed, elusivness, vision, and good character so he wont have any off the field problems. Look at all those things i just named off, and now tell me he's not a third rounder. The only reall problem is his height which is 5-7, but keep in mind that he is big in another way, muscular.

Round 4

Robert Sands, S- West Virginia. I would say that this is the safety that Deveany is drooling over. He can stop the run, has great height, and has the speed to prevent big plays. He also has good ball skills so he can make interceptions. Btw he is 6-4 so he can knock down the jump balls.

Round 5 # 14

Marcus Gilchrist, CB/S- Clemson. Has average height and weight. Can defend the run very well. Is a solid zone defender. Over his whole junior season he made 96 takcles with 53 of those solo, one sack, and 3 forced fumbles.

Round 5 # 22

Cecil Shorts III, WR- Mount Union. Dont underestimate this small school reciever. He has very good quickness, elusivness, and speed. He can make the tough catches, a good route runner, and a good kick returner. He also has good character so we shouldnt have mant problems with him about that.

Round 6

Ryan Winterswyk, DE- Boise State. Had a more than imressive junior year campaign with 41 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and nine quarterback sacks. He declined a little bit during his senior season due to playing some TE due to injuries. His senior stats are 42 tackles (19 solo) on the season, including 7.0 tackles-for-loss and 2.5 sacks. A can see this guy being a very solid DE in the NFL.

Round 7

Eric Gordon, OLB- Michigan St.. He had a  pretty good junior season, with 93 tackles and eight tackles for loss. I know we already have a OLB but both of our OLB positions are terrible, not just one.

And thats the end of my 2011 NFL Rams Mock Draft.
