As you know, mock drafts aren't my thing. Too many details...or something like that. Whatever the problem, I need your help with a mock draft. SBN is doing its annual writers mock draft. I'll be picking for the St. Louis Rams, shockingly enough.
Last year, all this was much easier. I brilliantly picked Sam Bradford, a move nobody saw coming. Bradford did everything we expected him to do and more in his rookie season, restoring faith in the idea of drafting QBs first overall. The boys from Big Cat Country, SBN's Carolina Panthers site led off with Missouri QB Blaine Gabbert.
Anyway, get your thinking caps on and lend me a hand. I'll tell you right now, if either Julio Jones or A.J. Green is on the board, I'm picking them. They won't be. I can't actually guarantee that, but it's a pretty safe bet. Some of the consolation prizes at that pick in recent mocks have included Illinois DT Corey Liguet, Missouri DE Aldon Smith, RB Mark Ingram and many, many others.
So, let me know your opinion on a pick for this mock draft.
While you're in draft mode, I need your help on another project. Think of all the players available in the 2011 NFL Draft, which ones have been in trouble because of marijuana, be it arrested or trouble on campus, etc. Help me out. It sounds strange, but I've got a legit idea I'm chasing here.
