First, let me mention that I hesitated posting about this because I believe it is inconceivable the actual draft could happen this way. The Draft Tek mock is produced via computer using an algorithm which takes into account a "big board" against team needs, as supplied by representatives for each team. Because human decision/nature is not accounted for, the whims/desires often displayed by real-life FO personnel does not play a role. Thus--although not unlike any "mock" draft-- it is purely speculation and can obviously only be taken with a proverbial grain of salt. It does, however, provide a scenario that has at least one other TSTer preparing to "change his shorts". The Draft Tek mock plays out as follows for the Rams:
Rd. 1 - Julio Jones WR
Rd. 2 - Mikel Leshoure RB
Rd. 3 - Bruce Carter OLB
Rd. 4 - Curtis Brown CB (This could facilitate a potential move to SS for Murphy, as has been suggested on TST)
Rd. 5 - Jurrell Casey DT
Rd. 6 - Jerrard Tarrant FS (Jeron Johnson, a TST favorite, is still available)
Rd. 7 - Ugo Chinasa DE
The obvious exclusion of an OG is a big one in this scenario, and based on fan posts/comments from other TSTers, it is an exclusion that will leave fans upset, post-draft. But given this draft scenario, in addition to a FA pick-up at OG, I, for one, would be quite pleased if this became the "real" 2011 draft.
What do you think, TSTers? Is it plausible? Is it good?
