Well, it seemed fun at the time. Baylor donkey-stomped Texas and LSU is en route to a perfect regular season. So now what? Night game overload is what.
- Oklahoma at Oklahoma St. (ABC, 8:00pm): Bedlam. One of the most underrated rivalries. And yes, the scouting is top notch. I don't have to mention that the Justin Blackmon club is in full effect here at TST. And OU's defense has prospects all over the place.
- Va. Tech at Clemson*, ACC Championship (ESPN/ESPN3, 4:00pm): Poor ACC. Good enough to push some teams into the national spotlight, nowhere near good enough to be respected. Still, there's scouting here. I could see Va. Tech RB David Wilson heading to the Rams in a playmaking role. And Clemson's got all kinds of future NFL players; I last added them in week 12 on the watchlist.
* Played at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC
- Wisconsin at Michigan St.*, Big Ten Championship (FOX, 8:17pm): A Big Ten Championship without Penn St. or Ohio St.? Oh, the football gods hath spoken. If you're looking for line prospects (on either side of the ball), head here. MSU DT Jerel Worthy is a potential first rounder and Wisconsin's O-line is just stupid. If C Peter Konz falls into the second, I promise you will see me advocate the Rams taking him nearly regardless of who else is still available.

Landry is gonna stay, cause he would be a late 1st at this point
But if Blake can throw well (i think he good, just being given scripted plays by the coaches). Landry might be farther along as a passer, but we could use designed runs and option passes (pass plays with the option to run) to make Blake way better as an offensive tool than Landry.

I don't see Blackmon as being supremely talented at anyone thing, here's how I see him:
Michael Crabtree with heart. There was the article today on her about how Crabtree has lots of talent, he just hasn’t done anything yet (for multiple reasons). Blackmon does everything at a high level, just nothing at a supremely elite level, like Crabtree. Unlike Crabtree, Blackmon has the heart and work ethic to not have the bad start Crabtree has

He has slightly above average speed for the average NFL receiver, Pettis has below average speed. His size won’t be a problem. Desean is shorter, T.O. was the same size, as was the GOAT Jerry Rice.

I can def. see how people say they don't like Blackmon because of his route running
You can just see he is so used to being open, that he doesn’t really make a good move to the ball, but just goes to where he is supposed to and he will be open. How does that translate? Well, he won’t ever be that open in the NFL, and that route running becomes how he does get open.

The offensive coordinators were extremely stupid.
When you’re going against two of the best defenses (especially run defenses), you don’t go full on Spagnuolo conservative when it’s never gonna work. You match the defenses aggressiveness with your own and get creative, and Georgia was doing that in the first quarter and it showed by what should have been a 21-0 lead (all I know is Woods and Lee don’t drop those touchdowns). They got scared after Mathieu changed the game and they fell apart.

If you get aggressive against those defenses, you’re going to get burnt without a great O. Look at the same Georgia game. Even when they tried to turn it up, LSU hurt them

I like Bama's offense,
that running game is probably second to none, statistics be damned. AJ McCarron is still pretty unimpressive, though he’s managing the team quite well. But when you ask him to make plays, LSU happens. He made some god-awful throws. Funny thing is, Sagarin has the Big 12 ranked higher than the SEC with OSU’s SOS at #8 to Bama’s #23. It’s dumb to think they’re not worthy.

but college teams also get demoralized after they underachieve to start the season. A&M is far more talented than their record shows. It’s like when Bama lost to Utah in 2008 after a demoralizing SEC title loss, I don’t think anyone thinks Utah was superior.
