Fantasy Football Sleeper Pick: Mike Wallace
The St. Louis Rams are playing the Pittsburgh Steelers today. Given the matchup of the Rams' offense and the Steelers' defense, it looks like quite a mismatch. One notable absence, especially from a fantasy perspective, is quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
If Roethlisberger were starting today, it would present a big matchup problem for the Rams defense. In particular, I'm thinking of his ability to make a deep strike or two to wide receiver Mike Wallace, whose speed could burn the Rams secondary similar to Torrey Smith and A.J. Green were able to do this season.
That's not to say the Rams secondary is a huge bust. In fact, they've covered up their flaws quite well considering they lost their top four cornerbacks. However, the team has still been susceptible to big plays all season long.
Charlie Batch isn't going to blow anyone away, especially from a fantasy perspective. I still think he has enough to make a connection or two with Mike Wallace. That's your fantasy play this week. Wallace's speed should get him a few points in your lineup. Start him with confidence.

You know what's sad?
The sleeper pick has just turned into “anyone who plays the Rams”
