Updated Christmas Mock!!!!
Hey Turf Show Times! I'm going to make a wild mock draft today! Now since the Colts are 2-13, this means that if the Rams lose this week against the Steelers we could have the first round pick in the draft. So there will be many trade offers from teams for Andrew Luck or RG 3. Anyways enjoy this mock!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!
The first thing I want to do is show you the free agent pick ups we acquired through free agency!
QB Matt Flynn
WR Deashawn Jackson
OG Carl Nicks
DT Paul Soliai
CB Tracy Porter
Rams are on the clock for the first pick. They get many trade offers. But the one that made them most interested is from the Washington Redskins. They are offering their First, Second, and Third picks. So we accept and now we have the number 7 spot in the draft.
There are plenty of players from which to choose. Justin Blackmon is still available since the Jaguars drafted Alshon Jeffery. So with the seventh pick in the 2012 NFL draft the St. Louis Rams select...
Justin Blackmon WR out of Oklahoma State.
Rams fans are cheering and Sam Bradford just jizzed his pants.. Now we are at the 33 spot in the draft. We see that Mike Adams is still available and if we draft him he would be a great addition on are new and improved offensive line. Since in free agency we won the bidding war for Carl Nicks we have 2 stud guards and Rodger Saffold to build around. So with the 33 pick in the 2012 NFL draft the St. Louis Rams select:
Mike Adams OT out of Ohio State
Now we are on the clock again with the 42 selection. Their are many players still available that the Rams like. But with our horrible Defensive Tackles, we decide to take a look at Dontari Poe. He would definitively help our run defense. He's tall and big, so if he gets past the offensive line for a sack I would be afraid for the QB that is about to get hammered. So with the 42 pick in the 2012 NFL draft the St. Louis Rams select:
Dontari Poe DT out of Memphis...
Now we are on the Clock with the 64 selection. We see that Chris Polk is still on the clock waiting for an NFL team to draft him. So we get really exited because we like what he brings to the table. He would be a great running back for us. So with the 64 pick in the 2012 NFL draft the St. Louis rams select:
Chris Polk RB out of Washington...
Now we are on the clock with the 73 selection. So far we filled every need besides OLB and DB. Sean Spence is still available and he is a really fast OLB that can get to the QB and he can tackle really good. So with the 73 pick in the 2012 draft the St. Louis Rams select:
Sean Spence OLB out of Miami...
Fast forward to September - Now our starting players are: QBs Sam Bradford and Matt Flynn, RB Steven Jackson and Chris Polk. WRs Brandon Lloyd, Justin Blackmon, Deashawn Jackson, Danny Amendola, and Greg Salas. LT Mike Adams LG Carl Nicks C Jason Smith RG Harvey Dahl RT Rodger Saffold. LDE Robert Quinn LDT Dontari Poe RDT Paul Soliai RDE Chris Long. LOB Sean Spence MLB James Laurinaitis ROB Chris Chamberlain. CB Bradley Fletcher, Ron Bartell, Tracy Porter, Jerome Murphy, Josh Gordy. SS Darian Stewart FS Quintin Mikell...
THANKS FOR READING! MERRY CHRISTMAS!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

yeah.
They can careless about letting Matt go. They already have the best QB in the league.

I agree with the rest of the draft except for one detail
Chris Polk is not on my mock draft of getting a change of pace RB. I was thinking either Montae Ball or L. Miller or L. James.
funny you wrote "Our Starting" players when 28 names or written....should be 22
But I got what you mean…shoulda wrote our new 2012 Ram roster
"Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no PLAYOFFS."
Winston Churchill
Like it all.
But i dont see the Pack trading away Flynn, i see them holding him till someone tries to make a Kolb like trade for him.
If that is the roster.....
The rams will win more than 2 games for sure.
Not a bad mock
But, if you believe that Luck could be the best QB to come out of college since Elway, we should demand and get better.
I have to feel we can do better than just a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd from Washington. I’m thinking something along the lines of Herschel Walker type compensation.
I can see Cleveland bidding up the price. I’m thinking BOTH of Cleveland’s first round picks THIS year. Maybe next year’s as well along with a second and third round this year and something next year. Holmgren has to be salivating at the thought of getting Luck. The Vikings, Jags, Redskins, and Dolphins might all make interesting offers.
Personally, I’d like to see a sweet deal where we could get Kalil out of USC and a large number quality draft picks.
This is the kind of pick that could transform this franchise. The number of holes we could fill is huge.
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. -- George Santayana (1863-1952)
Blackmon will be gone.
But I like Jefferies almost as much. So, the top half of your mock is good and realistic. I hate, hate hate not getting one of the top 2 corners. That CB from LSU is a ridiculous lockdown cover guy!
