So the Colts beat the Texans. This complicates things for us now. The Colts play the Jags next week which is very winnable based on their current luck. So if both the Vikings and Colts win one more time and we dont win again we will have the number one pick. I can honestly say that I would be torn on what to do if we get that 1st pick. On one hand we could take Kalil. On the other hand we could trade down to around 7 or 8 for a lot of picks.
If we take Kalil I wouldn't be upset. The best tackle prospect since Jake Long. Would protect Bradford for many years and we could move Saffold to the right. It would especially be nice if we could sign Carl Nicks to fill the Jacob Bell hole.
But we could trade down to around 7 or 8. As of now those picks are held by Miami and Washington. Both are in needs of QBs big time. If we do trade down it would be for a high price. Andrew Luck would be used to our advantage to and I think we could get the teams first, second, third, and 5th round pick. This would be awesome for us. I think Jonathon Martin should still be on the board and I would be just fine with taking him if we trade down. Martin has a little nastiness to him like Harvey Dahl and I like that. If Martin is gone Riley Reiff is also an option there.
If we trade down and take Martin. With our first pick in the second we should take Dwight Jones. Our second second could be Chris Polk. Our two 3rds should be an DT and OLB. Fourth be a CB. That is best case scenario IMO.
