heres a list i found of some of the defensive tackles that could come out in next yrs draft. i looked at some of the free agent prospects and some, if not all the top tier d-linemen, were all pretty much locked up with there respective teams. some fan think that defensive tackles are a dime a dozen, that you can just pluck them from anywhere...

that is soo far from the truth. if anything, defensive tackles are diamonds in the rough. there hard to come by, and are rare commodities, compared to wr's, og's, rb's, and tackles. look at the lineage, and hall of famers, for every qb, wr, rb, just the typical players....the defensive line is very rare. for every merlin olsen, warren sapp, late, great jerome brown, sam adams, ted washington, bryant young, to the new breed in haloti ngata, and ndamukong suh, im not going to go on, everybody knows the rest....

my point is, that every team has at least one good or great DT. and thats it, the rest are role players, or rotational player, and like i said before, there all locked up, except for a few. the rams d-linemen had there glory, and are getting older, robbins never reproduced like we all hoped, bannen, though he busts his ass, is still a converted DE. the rams missed out on some good DT'S in this past draft, they never really even considered one actually! and missed out on 2 good ones in free agency, the rams went with what they had, and it bit them in the ass.

now, hopefully with this current crop coming out this yr, im praying the rams will make it a top priority this yr, and pick up more than just one DT, and hope they pan out. every die hard rams fan knows the history of the rams, and the drafting of DTS! jimmy kennedy, damione lewis, adam carikker, clifton ryan, to name a few. so hopefully the rams can hit on a few 'diamonds" in the rough, and turn this rams defense around for 2012-13.
