Fantasy Football Sleepers: Cedric Benson Can Save Your Fantasy Team

ATLANTA - FILE: Cedric Benson #32 of the Cincinnati Bengals against the Atlanta Falcons at Georgia Dome on October 24, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia. According to reports on July 31, 2011 the Bengals will re-sign Benson to a one year deal. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)

It's that point in the season where pretty much any starting offensive player can boost your fantasy football hopes with a game against the St. Louis Rams. The Cincinnati Bengals are no different. One player in particular to get into your lineup this week: Cedric Benson.

The Bengals running back is having a pretty good season. So far, he has 883 rushing yards on 222 carries and five touchdowns to go with it. He averages 73.6 yards per game, and has broken the 100-yard mark three times. Last week, against a tough Houston defense, he ran for 91 yards on 21 carries.

Benson could easily break the 100-yard barrier again this week playing the Rams defense. With Kellen Clemens at quarterback, the Rams offense figures to struggle again, meaning the Bengals can handoff to Benson and let the clock wind down on a win.

Benson is dealing with a back injury, but he's listed as probable to play this week.
