It starts at the top

I'm sorry but it is time for changes at the top. My Rams have done a horrible job of drafting. A fellow post compared the Rams recent drafts with some top flight organizations.

The truth is St.Louis is not top notch.

There are 0 players from the 2007 draft.

Since 08' here are your picks on the Roster.

Rd. 1 08 Chris Long DE becoming one of the best in the NFL. (Good no brianer pick)

Rd.2-3 gone

Rd. 4 Justin King DB One of the worst CBs, I hope this is his last year with Rams!

Rd. 4 Second pick,Rd.5 pick gone

Rd. 7 Chris Chamberlain LB Good back up

Rd.7 second pick gone.

Rd.1 Jason Smith OT Drafted as LT of future. Almost always looks outmatched. Started at RT. His future is not bright.

Rd. 2 James Laurinaitis LB The man. Slipped into thier hands.

Rd.3 Bradley Fletcher CB Has shown promise but can not stay healthy.

Rd.4 Darell Scott DT nothing special may stay around another season as backup.

Rd.5-7 Gone

Rd.1 Sam Bradford QB I hope he is what he was last year, and not this year.

Rd.2 Rodger Saffold OT I still think he's a RT but he is a good not great tackle.

Rd. 3 Jerome Murphy CB Might be good always hurt.

Rd.4 Gone

Rd. 5 Illinois Mike. TE Pretty good when healthy. That's not often.

Rd.5 second pick gone.

Rd.6 pick 1 gone

Rd.6 pick 2 Eugene Sims DE OK rotatinal guy.

Rd.7 Marquis Johnson DB Always hurt

This year 4 players are here from a April draft. So far your number 1 Robert Quinn is the only potential star.But we

are just now getting to see him.

My bottom line is this. Get a new GM and personal department.

I suggest Tom Dorsey of Green Bay.

What difference does it make when they were drafted if the point is Spags will cut a young player with potential upside for an older FA that won’t be able to help the team long term. Not saying the draft licks have been great but when our cast offs are playing well with another team it has to give you pause. Really I don’t see either Spags or Devany coming back.

Cause I can’t think of anyone who fits your description.

Perhaps I’m wrong, but I don’t think so. My only point is that y’all blame Spags for the poor drafting, but it was bad long before he got here. I don’t know shit about our scouts and behind the scenes guys, but couldn’t they be responsible? After all, we’ve obviously drafted well in rounds 1-3 but we’ve tanked rounds 4-7. I’d think that the latter rounds are the ones where you rely most heavily on scouts. Who is that guy and is he any good? On the other hand, BillyD runs that portion of the team, so how come he ain’t the fall guy here?

The website says it's John Mancini.

Hired in June 2010 by BillyD. Maybe it’s his fault? It’s easy to blame Spags for everything, but maybe it’s a little more complicated than what we think. Not talking to Sggladden, just posing a question to everyone.

come on. so because we had bad drafting by idiots b4 spags we should just accept and not try to find someone better. listen i dont care about the draft i put that mostly on billy , i dont care about his 4 pillar BS, i dont care about his in game decisions which have lost us many games, i dont care about all that i could maybe live with him if that is what was wrong with him. but i dont understand how stupid someone has to be to say its ok that we kept Lebr over Williams butler over hines ETC ETC ETC i wont get in to all the names agian its depressing. i mean if spags kept the young kids and we failed i would say billy is an idiot for picking the wrong young talent but when doesnt let them get a chance and then loses with the old guys of course i am very upset about it. so to sum up if spags kept the best talent and still lost but they were playing hard for him like they are i would say keep spags another year but now i just cant becuase i am scared he will do it agian next year

this was my whole argument in the beginning of the yr...

like i said before, ive never witrnessed a team go into a draft, an release all but 4 draft picks during the season. i really believed that players like hines, nelson, and jabara williams would have contributed in some way. i mean it took spags till what? the 3rd gm to realize that he had quinn standing right next to him? cmon now!

and like you said g unit, im scared to death as well if we have devaney drafting again. oh, and btw pekka, it was spags that released these players not devaney.

except i knew we were in trouble after the cuts b4 the cuts i said we would win a lot but the day of the cuts i was so pissed lol i was in shock and knew a bad year awaits but the same ppl saying spags needs more time told me i was crazy to think we were in trouble b4 the season lol. at least some ppl see thru spags and billys BS

No great loss no matter how you slice it. The most you could hope for them would be thata they beccome Vobora and Chamberlain. Or a Justin King type. They were not the future, nor did they have the potential to be the future.

they never got the chance to play, and pls dont give me the “oh…well they couldnt make another roster” thing, jabara williams has been kicking ass on special teams for now with the bears, and hines got some burn with indy. these guys could have contributed. funny how everyone was rooting for them during preseason, where spag’s let them shine.

Sam,Kendricks,Staffold,Salas,JL55,long,B.fletcher,Murphy,Gordy,Quinn,stewart,pettis. thats the only young talent that isnt awful then of course we got SJ39,Lloyd,H.Dahl,hall,Bartell,Mikkell. the older guys that dont suck. dont tell me 3 years is not enough to have double this much talent on a team. billy and spags have failed beyond a F-
