Ron Bartell Injury: Rams CB Healed, Expects To Play Next Season

ST. LOUIS - SEPTEMBER 12: Ron Bartell #24 of the St. Louis Rams attempts to pick off a pass intended for Larry Fitzgerald #11 of the Arizona Cardinals during the NFL season opener at the Edward Jones Dome on September 12 2010 in St. Louis Missouri. With all the bad news the St. Louis Rams have dealt with this season, it's about time that something good happened. Something good happened today when cornerback Ron Bartell showed up at practice, his brace gone and neck healed from the broken vertebrae he suffered in the season opener.

[Note by Ryan Van Bibber, 12/16/11 3:30 PM EST ] The Rams reported that Bartell has been medically cleared, fully cleared. He also became the father of a baby boy named Emir recently.

Howard Balzer reported this on twitter.

Some good news for Rams: CB Ron Bartell out of neck brace. Bone is healed. Didn't need surgery. Said he is definitely playing next season..

This is the best news for the Rams

in quite some time. Still need to draft a young CB, as Bartell and Fletcher returning to the field doesn’t mean they will not also return to the IR. But, great news indeed!

Good news

Especially since this means Justin King can be dropped.

Medical evaluation going to be huge

for us in the offseason. Between the CBs and the OTs, they need to be absolutely spot on in knowing what we have going into the draft.

Agreed

Particularly with CB, it will make the difference between taking one sooner, or later.

I am so SICK of this CRAPOLLA!

Ron Bartell Is at best a nickle CB on any real team. If he comes or goes so the F@@@k what. Take the safety Dahl with you. Us Ram fans have become numb to reality, Heads up gang there is NOT a probowl player on our team! Yes that includes SJax. Hell there is not a probowl player (Exception) Long than you daddy)in the lousy NFC West.

You are outta control!

SJAX is like 3 time probowl player. Long is playing at a probowl level. And you really discount Pat WIllis, Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, Adrian Wilson, Larry Fitzgerald, Sidney Rice, and Earl Thomas… WOW

SJax is still a beast! Best RB in the league!

Really I am out of control..

The best RB’s in JUST ALONE the NFCWEST.

I wonder how good the job security must feel

for our true starters. Here King is, with the opportunity to step in and make some serious plays, establish himself as a legitimate CB, and possibly bump someone out of the situation…and then he goes out, as if he were a soccer player imported into a video game, and covering Jerry Rice in Tecmo Super Bowl

….I’d have killed to be talking about whose spot he might take next year. Now I know (or hope) he’ll be sitting next to ____________ on the _____________’s bench. Way to capitalize on the situation, King. You’re a real dick
