Fantasy Football Under and Over Achievers Playoff Time!
Hello Fantasy Football Fans. It is semi-final playoff week and here is the next installment of what will be a weekly rundown on who I think will over or under perform their weekly rankings from ESPN. There were no waiver wire picks since most if not all leagues do not all this. Last week we went 6-3 in the Overachievers and 8-2 for underachievers. Let’s get to the rankings;
Overachievers
· Tyler Yates (21) - If you have Big Ben or a shaky QB, I love his matchup this week against the Panthers.
· Matt Ryan (9)- He always stps it up at home.
· Tim Tebow (8)- The Patriots defense will even make Tebow look like an accurate passer this week.
· Dexter McCluster (44)- Romeo Crennel has promised more running and since they will be trailing against the Packers this is the RB to have for the Chiefs.
· Brandon Jacobs (29)- He is running like he did 3 years ago.
· Jeremy Maclin (41)- I would expect Revis to cover Jackson and open things up.
· James Jones (34)- His targets should pick up against the Chiefs with Greg Jennings out.
· Demaryius Thomas (27)- When a wide receiver is covering you, this is your day.
Underachievers
· Ben Roethlisberger – I would not take the chance on your season with his ankle on Monday night.
· Ryan Matthews (13) - He is having a good year but runs into a motivated Ravens defense.
· Steven Jackson (17) - Looks like it is the Kellen Clemens show which spells bad news for Jackson as well as Josh McDaniels calling shotgun at the ½ yard line last week.
· LeGarrette Blount- Usually a big deficit spells a long day for Blount owners, expect a bounce back blowout.
· Rashard Mendenhall (23)- The 49ers still are not giving up a rushing touchdown.
· Ahmad Bradshaw (24)- He is now a 3rd down back.
· BenJarvus Green Ellis- Another guy who is not getting enough touches to warrant a start.
· Vincent Jackson (14)- His yo-yo season continues.
· Brandon Lloyd (20)- Do you really want to count on the worst offense in the NFL?
· DeSean Jackson- Welcome to Revis island.
· Santonio Holmes- He has become like a goal line RB, you are rooting for that one score because he does not do anything else.
Please feel free to contact me on Twitter dvond with any questions.
Good Luck!
Fantasy Mike

If I met Santonio Holmes today
I’d ask him to sign something for me, then hold it up in front of his face, which would mask the blow to his dome that was forthcoming….
…7 fantasy points a game is a joke! I’m playin Julio Jones instead of him this week, and I’ll pray he doesn’t screw me over with some BS injury.
You and I are in trouble! I'm starting Julio too... I think we curse the players?
I just can’t resist Julio at home against the Jags. He did make the injury list this week with back pain though
I need another one of those 3TD, 40 point games
I’m in an ESPN league and this is week 2 of the 1st round of playoffs. Don’t mess with my money, Julio!
So I'm in the playoffs in 3 leagues. In each of those 3 I lost RB DeMarco Murray.
In 2 out of those 3 Felix Jones is still available. Should I pick him up or take a flyer on someone like Roy Helu?

Not that it matters
I scooped up Jones (luckily, as the well was dry on RB’s). He looked good to me last week, which was painful as it must’ve been for you, because that SHOULD’VE BEEN DEMARCO!!!!!! But I digress…….Helu is solid, but I wonder about how well he’ll do against the Giants D on the road, when the Giants really need this win to solidify their playoff hopes
I waited too long, which was like 5 friggin minutes
and missed Jones in one so I got him and one league, Helu in another and am screwed in the last.
My All-Underachievers RB Team
1. SJAX
2. Mendenhall
Flex. Blount
Thanks for the encouragement, Mike!……

No, sorry, no Caps at all..
I was one of those morons who considered Crosby a “steal” in the 3rd round and I’ve been paying the price for it all season long.

Which hurts all the more because Stamkos can't fight for a faceoff to save his freaking life.

As much as I love your 'Let's Go Pens' pics,
I feel for ya……..I don’t do fantasy hockey, which surprises even me, but in FFL I drafted Jamaal Charles, Andre Johnson, Run DMC, Kenny Britt, and Vick……….most of the times my team looks like this:
QB: ?
RB: ?
RB: ?
Flex: Vincent Jackson
WR: ?
WR: ?
Def: Ravens
K: Dan Bailey
…..I’m in the playoffs and up 7 points.
Is your team in any way in reference to the Rams?
Mine’s Al Pacino’s RAMphetamines, which makes me believe our curse also translates to the fantasy gridirons.
And, sorry, Tebow is going to shut Gronkowski down…

That is classic! Bravo!

and thank you for identifying the issue
Next year I’ll ensure that the Shehawks are somehow incorporated in my team name. How about those Skittles, Marshawn?!? Enjoy IR!
I like Helu more than Jones
But pick him up for bench
