As you all saw, the Rams called the same play twice in a row with one yard to go for a first down late in Sunday's game. Both failed. You can almost see the wheels turning in Josh McDaniels' head. "Gee, that play didn't work, so they will never expect us to run it again."
If you think this was pretty dumb, think again. I remember back to a time when Roman Gabriel was the Rams quarterback and calling his own plays. Gabriel called a draw play on first down. It was stuffed for a huge loss. Then he called it again on second down, probably reasoning that it would not be expected since it had failed so miserably the first time. It was also stuffed for another huge loss. Can you guess what happened on third down? Yep. He called a draw play. Yep, another huge loss. I think it ended with a punt on 4th and 45. No wonder my two year old son stood in front of the TV one day and yelled "Damn you Roman Gabriel!"
