Around SBN: Indy 500: 'Greatest Spectacle In Racing' Set For Sunday

Next Year

This started off as a comment to the 11-5 fanpost but I just kept adding stuff so i decided to make it my own fanpost. I think he had some really good points. Now there is no way that all of those things will happen but there are some key things we need to change.

We definitely need a change at GM. Devaney has just got to go. He has done okay in the 1st round, but in the mid rounds has done awful and we could use some steals in those rounds for sure. He hasn't had very good free agent acquisitions aside from Brandon Llyod and Quintin Mikell. Lucky for him some players have stepped up like Darian Stewart and Chris Chamberlain.

I think if we can separate ourselves from Craig Dahl, Jason Brown, Jacob Bell, James Butler, and Brandon Gibson and fill those holes through FA or the draft we should be okay.

I would rather draft a reciever than sign one in FA but if there is a #1 out there we might want to take a look at him. Otherwise Justin Blackmon in the first or Dwight Jones in the second might be worth taking.

Obviously we need to get healthy. This team could have been tons better if all the injuries hadn't killed us. If Amendola was here I think he would have at least 2 touchdown passes. DX would have one more also. Bartell, Fletcher, and Murphy would make our pass defense ten times better. the injury to Clayton certainly doesn't help. I mean can you honestly see us winning 2 games with most of these guys healthy? Didn't think so.

And to everyone who thinks we can't win more than 5 games next year I disagree. We should have the #2 pick right. The Broncos were #2 in the draft last year and now they have a record of 6-5, without a great QB like Sam Bradford. The Bengals were 4 and now they are 7-4. And the Lions were #2 just 2 years ago and where are they now? Exactly. We can be a good team and I think we will, maybe not 10 wins, maybe not even 8. But improvement will be shown big time. In three years minimum we should be ready to take on the big boys and come out with some wins.

Seems the rest of the west is getting better.

But I think we can win the division in 3 years. Just not with Billy D.

Agreed

They teams I am really nervous about are the 49ers and maybe the Cardinals. We just need to get Billy outta here.

we CAN win in 3 years

…but it all depends on how our FO does, and how the other NFC West teams’ FO does too

Fire GM move Spags to DC

When I play madden I use James butler as a LOLB and he’s a beast! too bad it’s just a video game lol

i would love for spags

To become our d coordinator. That would be best possible situationto me. It might be weird for spags to take orders from the guy who just took his job.

that's the reason it won't happen

it’s almost insulting to a coach to be demoted on the same team

Fajole should be able to run it just as well but

I don’t agree with the LBs are unimportant thing. Maybe if LBs are the least talented squad, on your D, tailor your D to cover up that weakness but don’t build with that idea to begin with. You have to play to your team’s strengths.

agree with everything

except i think even if healthy spags finds ways to lose , i think if we had holt bruce moss marshall kurt in their prime spags would still not try to score after having a 3 pt lead because to him its better to be winning 90% of the game then actually winning the game

Rams Bulls and Mets allllllllll day also i do love white castle

HAIL SPAGS! LOL

If Stan gave spags full control of everything on defense and kept his pockets happy im sure spags will be our DC! if we let spags go the eagles or the giants will snatch him up quick!

The moves made these last few yrs lets recap.....

Smart moves- Mikell, OG Dahl, Stewart, Gordy, Bannan, Robbins, Hall, Feeley, Clayton,JL,Long,Fletch,Quinn,Saffy,Sam, Amendola, Chamberlain, Lloyd

In part they all made sense and really came through for us the last few seasons and can really help our team. Now I didn’t put others on here because 1 game doesn’t make them a factor (DX, Gibbs, Caddy, Kendricks). Add to the disappointment all the draftees we dont have on the team anymore and the MSW’s of the FA market who we had high hopes for too.

Winning more than five games is more than doable.

The Rams have what at least six teams need; a QB. With that critical element in place, solid components must be added. Another thing The Rams have to do IMO, is determine what type of offensive system works best for Bradford. Re examine what he does best and adjust the offense to those strenghts.

Sam is used to the no huddle that is what he did all season in 2008 and some in 2009

unfortunately it is not as used in the pro. ranks as much as in the college ranks but the few times the Rams have used it he played much better.
