The St. Louis Rams are no strangers to injury, having lost two more players for the season last week. The Seattle Seahawks, who travel to St. Louis this weekend, are also dealing with some key injuries that could impact their lineup this week. Rookie right tackle James Carpenter injured his knee in Wednesday's practice. Seattle expects to know more about his status today, following an MRI.
UPDATE: Carpenter has a torn ACL. He'll be out for the season.
Carpenter's injury comes on the heels of a season-ending injury to rookie guard John Moffitt. That hurts Seattle's offensive line, which was playing well as the season progressed. Left tackle Russell Okung, no stranger to injury himself, is playing at a very high level, something that will surprise no one. He smothered Terrell Suggs in last week's win over the Ravens.
Also limited in practice yesterday was Sidney Rice, who is dealing with a concussion. Former Rams linebacker David Vobora is also dealing with a concussion, as is wide receiver Doug Baldwin. Pete Carroll was optimistic that both receivers would be able to play this week, but all will have to get medical clearance before they can take the field.
