2012 NFL Mock Draft: Four rounds (every team).
This is a four round mock for every team in the NFL. The vast majority of these players are not where you would expect them to be, but remember, things don't always go as planned come draft time. I wouldn't call
Adding a receiver with superstar ability and an elite possession receiver with Wes Welker upside mediocrity haha

We have an possession recievers already
Drafted two of them last season and I would call Jones a potential superstar, but I do like broyles..

Trent Richardson dropping a little far
I’d be surprised to see him drop out of the top 10, and if the board falls out like this in the 1st round—it wouldn’t be a tough choice for me. You got the CB’s dead on though, that 12-16 area should be where the talent puts em, but we’ll see who reaches.
Interesting how much you think Broyles falls, Mark Barron is a reeeeaaaally intriguing pick (dunno what to think of it yet :P), and where’s Jayron Hosley? Great job man!
All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence, and then success is sure.
-Mark Twain
thanks!
And I think I saw something about Hosley will not declare this year

Yeah that's a lot of 'Bama
also Broyles’ injury isn’t sitting well with me, so idk maybe an OL?
Beating off the dog is never appropriate when we have company over...... I mean EVER!
RAMS 2012 MOCK DRAFT
Building more defense when the offense sucks. They need a running back to help JACKSON and take over for him. They also need a backup Q.B. Freely isn’t it!

did you want me to reach for backup players?

dont want much defense
as much as we need another corner and some olb’s, the d has only cost us a couple of games (partially the eagles game, plus baltimore and dallas) while the o has been the main issue in every other game. i think unless its a total reach we’ve gotta get o-linemen or weapons this year.

I'd love to have Kirkpatrick and Hightower
Don’t need Barron (Mikell and Stewart will be fine). I’d take Broyles personally, but not after having Dwight Jones (who is better physically than Ryan). My only issue is no true LT. Is that what we are gonna add in free agency? Cause that hasn’t worked yet
Note to Douglas M: Remember that 99% of what I say involves BS

spags constantly puts 3 safeties on the field
So Barron is basically a Dahl replacement

Can that cb
Cover like Peterson? If so let’s pick him now lol. None of the wideouts really stand out this year well to me.

youve heard of "suck for luck" now im starting the "beat'um for keenum" sweepstakes
its where we win games just so we can have a low enough pick in the first round to draft Case Keenum
he's not on the list at all
Beating off the dog is never appropriate when we have company over...... I mean EVER!
apples to oranges
Brady didn’t do nearly as much in college as Keenum
Beating off the dog is never appropriate when we have company over...... I mean EVER!
hell no, it means shit, is what it means
have you seen how many QBs turn out to be busts, they can do whatever they want in college, record wise and play wise….that doesn’t mean shit in the NFL
Beating off the dog is never appropriate when we have company over...... I mean EVER!
granted im not giving anything to kevin kolb after the shitty season hes had but...
Case Keenum runs the same offense 10 times better than kolb ran it
Another beef I have
Lance Mitchell, not on the list either, he seems like a top-4-round type of guy
Beating off the dog is never appropriate when we have company over...... I mean EVER!
Can't say I would be mad about this draft
Sam Bradford
I would have loved to see us trade back up to get Floyd
I know Jones looks good, but Floyd was a top 10 pick without the DUI situation.
Sam Bradford
Nice Job On Your Mock
I see Kirkpatrick as a FS. He is a big hitter and an intimidating presence in the secondary. Put him on a TE or RB and he is the guy. IMO Casey Hayward is a better coverage CB. So far in 2011 he has 5 INT’s with one returned for a TD. Jonathon Banks CB from Miss St is IMO, a better cover CB than Kirkpatrick: 5 INT’s with 1 returned for a TD. Banks also has 2 sacks 8 PD’s, 1 FF and 42 TKL’s. Kirkpatrick also has 8PD’s, 2 FF, and 22 TKL’s. Banks will be available in rounds two or three. Zach Brown would be a great pickup if defense is the thought. He is fast and productive: 6 Sacks, 1 FF, 2 INT’s and 4 PD’s with 71 TKL’s. He had 2 sacks against Clemson.
wheres morris claiborne in the mix?
that LSU defense is stacked, and not one mention…?
by Mark Jaramillo on Nov 10, 2011 5:52 PM CST up reply actions
Claiborne 33TKL's 4INT's and 4PD
Great CB no question. I just like to look at other talented players who do not get the recognition based upon where they play. Hayward and Banks may be available in the later rounds where The Rams may get one of them at a bargain. After watching all three: Claiborne, Hayward, and Banks; there is not a lot that seperates them talent wise IMO.
Neat Buckeye
But I’m sure you should change your name to have something “Crimson Tide” in it.
If Blackmon and Jeffrey are off the board, then corner wouldn’t be a bad pick. Maybe DT instead though? Spags likes pass rushers :)
I love stealing Broyles in the 3rd round. But with Salas and Pettis starting to look decent, maybe we could go OG in the second round with our extra pick?
Keep up the mocks though!!!

Heck of a run on Wisconsin linemen.
Konz is definitely a first round caliber talent, and Zeitler’s supposed to be good as well. I don’t see Ricky Wagner passing a chance to be the 3rd UW Outland winner (after Joe Thomas & Carimi) to become a 2nd round pick by coming out after his junior year. Now that I think about it, I’m not sure if Konz will come out either—He does have a year left…
Also, Michael Brewster is from O$U, not UW.
"I'm here to talk about the economy today -- about the need to get four quarters of strong, consistent performance. That wasn't another Jay Cutler joke, I swear. It could be, but it's not."
Overall though, Good work!
I’m sure that took some time…

yes it did lol
And I being an Ohio state fan I realize Brewster is from osu haha I just flipped him and Konz around and put down the wrong school

NO AJ JENKINS?!?!!?
My hatred for you is at the highest possible level. He is leading the FBS in receiving yards!! No way he won’t be at least a 4th round pick, probably a 3rd. He’s is way, way better than Kendall Wright, TY Hiton, Juron Criner, Nick Toon, Marvin McNutt, Reuben Randle, and Chris Owusu for sure. If he last beyond a 3rd round pick, he will be a fantastic steal.
purely an oversight by me good sir
Jenkins should be in here

yeah
you just got to realize that AJ is my boy. There is no player, besides Torry Holt, who I’ve ever liked watching more.
First off, compliments to the chef!
Job well done……Now, can you please orchestrate that trade with the Chiefs? That is exactly to type of trade the Rams need to make. Netting an extra 2nd and 3rd while getting our CB would be awesome. With regard to the Colts, I can see them trading down. Whether they are #1 or #2 look for them to deal the pick to Seattle. I think the guy they will want is Trent Richardson. Seattle will likely take Luck or Carrol’s guy Barkley.
If I was draftng in the slots you have the Rams at I would likely go with the following:
- Kirkpatrick – Love it! Although I like Claiborne’s cover and return game, unlike Dre he is starting to look a bit soft to me in the tackling side of the game.
- - Nate Potter – Fits the Rams mold of interchangeability at OT/G.
- - Devon Still – May come to the Rams with a lot of hate after the Penn State debacle.
- - Chris Polk – Rams need a successor to S-Jax and someone to catch passes out on the flat. Thanks for nothing Norwood!
- - Nick Toon – With all due respect to brandonbirkhead, the Rams don’t need another 6’1 190 pound receiver. I’ll go with Toon’s 6’3 220lb frame as a need in the Rams offense
- - Nico Johnson – At least I gave you another Tide player to go with Kirkpatrick. As another option here why not consider a 2nd DT in Tydreke Powell? The Rams system calls for a lot of rotational play from their DT’s and they clearly need to get younger in that area so drafting Still and Powell or Still and Short works for me.
Toon's a playmaker
As a Badgers fan I think he’ll be successful at the next level. He has the size, speed, and hands to be a very solid WR. The main concerns with him are injury related. He struggled the last couple seasons with nagging injuries and his dad retired due to a concussion.
"I'm here to talk about the economy today -- about the need to get four quarters of strong, consistent performance. That wasn't another Jay Cutler joke, I swear. It could be, but it's not."
Sorry, my numbers didn't show up!
Kirpatrick at 13. Potter at 39. Still at 45. Polk at 71. Toon at 77 and Johnson or Powell at 101. My bad!
Disagree With Broyles In The Third
With Kendall Wright available and healthy.
Yeah my bad on that

Rams fans mock draft are horrible because they have a twisted way of making things work in their favor in the most unrealistic way..
"Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no PLAYOFFS."
Winston Churchill
It can be argued that all our picks could go in the first 2 rounds so steal if it "Were" to pan out like this
1.Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Alabama
2.Dont’a Hightower, LB, Alabama
2b.Dwight Jones, WR, UNC
3.Mark Barron, SS, Alabama
3b.Ryan Broyles, WR, Oklahoma
4.Ka’waan Short, DT, Purdue
Chances of another 2 wr draft is unlikely, and if we do go after one it will be a big time name. Hightower is more of a 3-4 guy so that’s hard to swallow. Barron would be great but I doubt we go there that early. and the DT seems believable though I’d go Powell IMO…So all in all its a All-pro draft and would produce 3 pro bowlers at least….This would be the draft to turn this team around.
"Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no PLAYOFFS."
Winston Churchill
Extremely happy with the Hightower pick in the 2nd round
We would be doing JL a huge injustice if we did not support him with a highly talented, young LB. This plug and play with aging FA’s just isn’t doing the trick.
Plus, I don’t want JL to have any more of a reason to bounce out when he hits FA.
Absolutely can not support the drafting of two WR’s in the first 3 rounds this year. McD already received 3 picks in the first 4 rounds last year, and the addition of Lloyd just make it highly unlikely.
Decent mock, but....
You don’t have the Patriots trading picks around for another first. Don’t you know that in 2020 they plan to have half of the 1st round picks?
by WastedPotential on Nov 11, 2011 7:54 PM CST reply actions
This is horrible
One pick in and your mock is already toast. Indy has all but secured the #1 pick. I’d be shocked if even one of those picks came to fruition. No way do Rams go safety first four rounds and no way Kirkpatrick falls to 13. I would have done better throwing darts.
