That seems to be the problem with the team we love so much. Where is the Fire in their eyes? Where is the Fight to succeed? Where is the passion? We have leaders on this team but none of them seem to be able to spark a Fire under their asses. If they are going to win it isn't quite as simple as just getting rid of the Mental mistakes they are committing. They need to Light a Fire under their ass and and live up to expectations.
Now everyone here knows that I am a huge supporter of Coach Spagnuolo. But, The more i watch the team this year i keep thinking that Scott Linehan is still coaching this team. No Fire in their eyes. No urge to succeed. Spags need to fire up his players. I know he coaches under a different philosophy of strictly encouragement, But Dammit! Encourage harder or something!
As a Die hard fan (as many of us are), I can feel myself withering away yet again. I don't know if i can continue to watch this train wreck without getting sick. 10 points??? Our offense was supposed to be improved! Not declining!! According to Sam Bradford they are not Regressing but they aren't improving either. Well Prove it, because at this point i would pay money to see Pat Shurmur's Dink and Dunk offense, than to see Bradford get nailed to the ground harder than a railroad Spike. It has to be the second coming of Martz's crazy offense but with a hell of a lot less talent to make it work.
If Spagnuolo can't light a fire under this team and create some kind of spark, I honestly won't want to see him back next year. And, you all know that is hard for me to say. Bradford is going to start to go backwards in his development, Steven Jackson's last productive years will be a waste, And a good coach will have burned his name because he will be labeled as "soft". That is sad.
I pray we are all over reacting, That Spags is going to have his team so fired up that we will come out of the Bye week prepared and ready end the Packers Win Streak.
A man can dream.....
