Rams Activate CB Marquis Johnson; CB Brian Jackson To IR
The St. Louis Rams activated cornerback Marquis Johnson from the PUP list today. He joins the active roster for the first time since a week 3 of last season. To free up space for Johnson, the Rams moved cornerback Brian Jackson to injured reserve.
Johnson had offseason knee surgery that kept him out of training camp this year. He was placed on the PUP while recovering. He and fellow PUP listee Mark Clayton worked together while on the PUP. Clayton was not activated from the PUP this week.
Johnson joins a cornerback group hit hard by injuries, including season enders to starters Ron Bartell and Bradley Fletcher. A second-year player, he did not see much playing time last year, but should be able to contribute. He is expected to play nickel this week.
Brian Jackson, a second-year player most recently with the Giants, was added earlier this month, taking Bradley Fletcher's spot on the roster. He is the fourth Rams cornerback to end his season on the injured reserve list so far this year.

Why?
who gives a shit at this point, we’re playing the saints.
Beating off the dog is never appropriate when we have company over...... I mean EVER!
Why not.
nobody else is doing a good job. if not but the cheerleaders in, they may not cover anybody but it sure would be nice watching them run down the field. you go girls.
Our cheerleaders.
need to act on the sidelines like the cheerleaders from the movie the replacements. that might be the only way we can distract the saints, and win. that alone would be worth watching..
while our players act like the cheerleaders from the Longest Yard...
Formerly JBaccSTL. Been losing sleep over Rams football since 1999.
it dosen't matter-they are back in la in a few years
st. louis always was a baseball town
This Mark Clayton thing is bugging me
I don’t understand it one bit. If I was the Rams coaches I would have jumped immediately at activating him the first chance I got. I never would have had him on the PUP. And no way in the world would I keep Curry on my team, he doesn’t contribute at all. As soon as the PUP wore out Curry would have been axed and Clayton active. A Lloyd Clayton combo would be awesome to see. What are they doing waiting so freaking long. Clayton is easily our second best receiver now. Its almost like they want us to lose this week and last.
SJax is still a beast! Best RB in the league!

I've been reading that Clayton is being held out because he isn't up to speed on the O. Hard to believe he wouldn't have been studying the O the whole time he was recovering?
I’m with you on the Clayton mystery.
I find this really hard to believe
he learned Shurmurs playbook in like 5 minutes and can’t learn mcdaniels in 6-7 weeks, strange. I don’t think this is Clayton’s fault at all tho. I am sure he knows enough to be on the field. The Rams FO hasn’t really treated this guy right to me, took forever to resign him, taken longer to activate him.. Just seems so strange to me. I can’t place my finger on it tho.
Other news, this Sunday is real quiet on TST. I normally read all the news and goodies before the games to get ready, and there is nothing. Has everyone’s spirits taken a hit like our football team? Nonetheless I am ready to see some RAM ACTION!
